What? It's not like Elmo's the only one that can post something like this.

I looked for a thread, but was surprised to be unable to find one. Point me to it if there is one.

I have to say, the beginning of it is really dark, and has quite an impact. Won't spoil the ending, but I would say that it's a shame that they introduce so many different unit options, but so little space to play them on. You basically would have to lump through loads of irrelevant campaign to try out different combinations. I'd love to be able to try all those out in a skirmish game, even if it was limited to not playing with human oponents.

It's also not that long for £30 of game, I finished it in a day. It's good fun though, kept me going fot the last 12 hours pretty much straight through.

Anyone else got any thoughts on it?

It's actually available as a standalone game, but nobody would buy what is effectively episode 9 without having seen the other 8.

You can play the campaign offline, I did so for periods of today when the servers were down.

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure you only have to be online once (a bit like steam), then offline play is available.

I'll test it now...

Oh okay. RTS's aren't my thing so I hadn't heard of it either. I was going to say that Legacy of the Void sounds like a Fates Warning album.

Ok, I'll agree it's a bit fiddly, you basically have to make sure you've gone online, then gone offline to allow you to play offline, but with a few disconnects of my wireless dongle, I was able to play offline.

Never heard of it, i do play the old games. I don't follow modern games much tbh.
My own DRM stance means there is little point, but it looks great in vids etc....
Watching is as close as i shall get.

I was going to say £30 sounds steep but, you can play that multi until the cows come home....
