I knew, just knew, the day I bought Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines I would play it straight through, love it so much it physically hurt me, and be completely behind on everything.
I was right.

I bought it during the summer sale and it's everything I thought, hoped, feared, and wondered it would be and more; Easily in my top ten out of the hundreds of games I've played.
Now I'm behind on my art work, I've said maybe a few things to people I know at most? Oh yeah and my schedule is w/e.
But darn it...That was up there with New Vegas for me.

Care to share any similar "I knew this was gonna happen" stories of too much game love?

Yeah, thats what Bloodlines did to me too. Roughed me up and left me longing for more. :)

Well... about 20 years ago I started Knights of Xentar on a Friday afternoon and when I finished it it was Sunday night and I had not slept, eaten or drank anything so... I win.

Yep, last year after some 100 hundred hours of Terraria I made it to hardmode, and then I stopped because "I knew what was gonna happen" if I played just a single minute more to see how the game completely changes at that point.

I resisted a few months, but around February, I don't know why (I shouldn't have, I had work to do!), I just did it: checked to see a little bit more of the game. Next thing I knew, when I looked around me I was 2 months older in the real world and 500 hours old in Terraria :-D

new vegas was amazing... second only to fallout 2.

When I got my first copy of VTMB, we'd just moved into a property which we'd ripped out to renovate. The kitchen was one long unheated room and it was cold..... very cold. I was so enthralled by VTHB that I played it 4 times straight through.

I froze.

i didn't finish that game. there was a bug when i had to install some webcams for spying in a room. so ok i download patch and restart game because patch wasn't compatible anymore with my saves. and bug happen again man! why? also in the RPG elements i only maxed out my proficiency with guns - i thought why would i need melee attacks when i can just shoot stuff. but it turns out that in boss fights you must fight melee too :-/ and there was also unofficial patch from community which gave me more skill points at character creation. but that was all years ago in 2009 i think
