I put 600+ hours into Skyrim, and 350ish hours into The Witcher 3 when it came out so been there, done that. :)

Went Malk female my first time, it was cathartic as I felt very attached to the Malkavian craziness since I'm also crazy as a loon. Loved her to bits.
Planning to replay it as Nosferatu, Tremere, and Toreador one day all I hope.

Still gonna have to wait- But darn I want to see what I missed on my first play through.

Before I was a part of the GOG community here I had never even heard of this game before, although I do remember seeing the box cover graphics in gaming stores back in the day. I never realized this game had such a great following of fans and praise as it appears to have here, but then I'm not overly surprised about that either as the GOG.com userbase tends to include a large number of die hard RPG fans from oldschool through current modern 3D ones.

I'm quite curious about this gem now and will have to pick it up sometime in the future when there's a promo on I suppose. I've never played an RPG like this but it sounds like a lot of fun.

While I do strongly recommend getting it, if the theme just doesn't sound good to you from the start I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't much get in to it. I've always loved Vampires but found most movies and game on them boring as sin so this was a fantastic change to play something with entertaining Vampire lore.

If you'd like to try something similar first Deus Ex, while arguably different and much cornier is a great fit if you enjoy Cyber punk and Dystopian world stuff as they are a lot alike gameplay wise. (Branching stories with different endings and dialogue choices, first/third person combat with melee or guns, special skill systems)
You might have played that already, in which case you'll feel all the more at home if you do to play VTMB.

I'm into almost any type of RPGs really with few exceptions, but I haven't experienced a lot of them either. Interested in seeing what non-magic/fantasy type RPG shave to offer such as cyberpunk, vampires etc.

I own the first 3 Deus Ex games but haven't played them other than a brief test run of the first one while going over a few dozen games a while back. I'll be coming back to those in the future eventually. Anachronox was another one.

It doesn't take much to hook me in completely when there's a new racing game, my favourite genre.
Right now I've lost myself in the new Valentino Rossi MotoGP game. Before that it was a Ducati bike game.

When it comes to other genres, the last game to have a serious can't-put-down effect on me was GTA 5.
Two full playthroughs and I still want to replay it.

Almost all of my GOG games are slow-paced games that work perfectly as "session" games, they have that kind of partitioning, like Tropico 3, Massive Assault and Xenonauts. These games are also very lengthy the way I play them.

I have a very small list of games completed. About two dozen, I'd say. Knights of Xentar was one of those. Quite a funny game I'd say. It is still the only JRPG I completed. Probably the only RPG I finished.

It's a bloody masterpiece.
