Konrad: Hey, so this sucks. Thanks for everything you've done with MaGOG, I know it was an indispensable tool for a lot of our community - so thanks for caring enough to put in all the hard work.

Here's hoping we see you around sometime in the future! :)
+1

All the best mrkgnao!

On that note, I'm assuming GOG won't bother resuming posting patch notes?
Mrkgnao took over after GOG suddenly stopped doing so.

Goodbye, hope to see you again some day. :l
Your work was greatly appreciated.

Blues, please consider mrkgnao's complaints about Gog. :|
And also, you should adopt\integrate Magog, because it's basically mandatory for large collections.

Well, the day has come: this place is officially going down the drain... :(((

I'm terribly sorry to see you go, but I'm no stranger to what you must have been feeling these last few months. I too kept doing some volunteer but very time-consuming tasks for far too long once, and I remember at the end the only thing driving me was sheer momentum and the feeling that everything would have been in vain if I stopped. But I did eventually stop and I cannot describe how liberated I felt. I'm happy for you. :)

Farewell!

Same question as above
It's so sad to hear that... You've put tons of work into MaGog and community development, is there any chance you could revert your decision?

I sincerely wish you all the best.
Ah, sad to see that you're leaving. But it's understandable, especially when you spent so much time to support gog and the community.I really wish you the best and want to say thank you for your impressive work. Enjoy now enjoy your free time and your games ;-)

You mean patch notes for game updates? You can find changelogs (whenever they're available to us that is) on each product card in your library or through Galaxy. I'm looking at the one for Homeworld Remastered right now.

On the site, use the "More" dropdown and select Changelog to see it. In Galaxy the same feature appears next to the Install/More buttons.
Really sorry to see you go and you will certainly be missed, but I respect your reasons for leaving.

I hope this eventually turns out to be an au revoir rather than a final goodbye.

Are there any plans to upgrade the update notification system in the near future? It would be really helpful if you can choose in which cases you want to get the update flags (flags only for special languages or systems, etc).

Or maybe an update center that shows your latest updates by date and in detail would be really helpful. At the moment it feels you need to dig for more information, that's the reason why mrkgnaos thread is so important to so many folks here - all important informations collected in one place and easy to read.

This. There are many times when I didn't know anything in my library had updated and wouldn't have known had it not been for mrkgnao's update thread. It's a serious problem that should be the very next thing addressed.

I don't know about near future, I'd hate to make a promise we can't keep. But the notification system is definitely something that we have to look at - both to make it more useful for you guys, and help us communicate things as well. I like the notification center Idea, it'd actually be really cool to have all relevant news, updates, changelogs and so on in one space. No idea how easy or complicated that'd be to implement.

Goodbye from me as well :-(
If it weren't for the Gogmixopedia initiative, I probably wouldn't have created my manuals gogmix, so that is owed to you as well. Thanks again, for the awesome MaGog tool, er, I mean woman (thank goodness I looked more in the thread!), for keeping us updated in the "what did just update" thread, and everything else; your presence has been such an intergral part of the gog forum experience. Farewell, I hope your life outside Gog will be happy and fullfilling.

Konrad:
Many people (including myself) actually want to see if an update was released for a game they do not own -this can be for various reasons e.g. checking if a manual was added in the extras, seeing if now the gog version is on par with Steam's before buying a game etc Please do consider to get someon to post the updates to the thread so that such situations will be resolved with ease...

I know, but posting them in the thread is useful as people need to OWN the game to see the changelogs.
I use them to determine if I want to buy a game here on GOG you can never be sure if a game has the latest updates.
MaGOG was needed to see the changelogs without owning the game and of course nothing will happen with that anymore.

Exactly, having them collected in one place really does help.

I didn't even consider that. I forgot about the missing notifications. >_<
Would never have noticed if not for that thread.

I hate it that every time I ask about this stuff I get referred back to the changelogs. >_<
Doesn't help when I don't own the game.
Pretty sure Judas used to post changelogs but he eventually stopped for a reason I can't remember.

I see, that does make sense - patch info is already out there, so I don't know how much work it would be to just also make it visible on the product card somewhere.
