misteryo: It's XCOM 2 free weekend on STeam. I've never done these before, but I am downloading XCOM 2 right now. I will give it a try tomorrow. Woohoo!
PS: Do keep in mind time played in a Free weekend counts as time used for refund consideration. So if you play say 10 hours (2+) on the free weekend, you don't qualify for a refund anymore if you purchase it there afterwards. That said, if you still ended up buying it I'd assume you'd know by then you wouldn't need one.

If you buy it elsewhere it doesn't matter of course :)

Also, as said, the XCOM 2 collection has been as low as 25-30 already. If you still want to buy it after the weekend, I'd keep an eye on Isthereanydeal and wait for that.

To be fair, you didn't finish XCom. You just decided to not start a new playthrough. :P

Eh, the free weekend download doesn't run. Something screwed up on their end, missing files in the download or somesuch. So, I deleted it.

But I did install Flame in the Flood!

Yeah they messed up the XCOM 2 collection as well, no one can buy it because it includes the reinforcement pack as well as the individual DLC's that make up that pack, so Steam doesn't let you buy it because of duplicates

That's pretty funny.

Devs fixed the issue. So free weekend version of XCOM2 works now. Just in case, for those who want to spend one last day or two fighting aliens

Yeah. But too late for me. Friday was my time to game. Saturday is for hanging up porch swings and such.
Not a fan of Steam, but I bought Xcom 2, DLCs and the WOTC cos I think it`s that good. Ok not quite the classic of the original but with a few mods it`s good. Although I hate how your view is forced diagonal (why??) - A mod fixes that.

Hope it`s relased DRM free on GOG one day so I can play it without Steam deciding when I can or can`t.
