So yeah, I've decided to try it out.

I got my receipt, money was charged, but I didn't get anything new to my library. I though that maybe I got a dupe, but I don't even know how I can check if I did get a game I can gift to another.

Did you try to go to account - orders & settings?
Can you see it in your Orders history in your account?

That might be it. I can only see a "mystery game" in the receipt. I shall wait for the update then.

If the mystery game is a game you already have they send you a code. Check your emails.

Umm, there is no code. Konrad has admitted that there is an issue, and they're looking into it.
