I never said it was a grey market site. And I never saw anything suggesting that it's a no no, specially since I've never had any trouble with that while buying games for Steam, Origin, Uplay and Bethesda.

By GOG's conditions and terms it's forbidden to buy keys at unlicensed third-party sites. So yes, if you did that, it's "forbidden or illegal".

No and no. If gog had actually locked my account, then where the FUXK is the email stating so? I have yet to receive ANYTHING from them other than the auto generated responses to my tickets.

I bought two games from kinguin.net. Baldur's Gate 3 and another I don't even remember right now.
As I've said before, I have never had a single problem with them. And I've bought multiple games from them for both Steam, Bethesda, Epic Games, Origin and so on. I can still log in on those DRM's fine, btw.

I'm fairly certain that my 'current stand' is decent enough. I've bought most of my games on that account directly from the gog store. No, I do not remember how many games I've got on the account.

If gog's policy is to just shoot first and not give a shit about telling you why they've blocked you out, I'm pretty certain they would get into some trouble for that.

Kinguin is just a place where you can buy games from many retailers... some retailers might cheat who knows but that doesn't change that at worst they should just disable the game in question and send a mail stating why.

I find that very very bad customer service. and if we are to go in to this. gog are subject to EU laws so they can write whatever they want in their terms of service but they cannot circumvent the EU laws and closing an account without reason, or stating reason is simply illegal, steam have gotten Large fines on similar matters on account issues. why would gog be any different.

To be clear: you have purchased stolen property, which is a crime in most countries. Thankfully, GOG usually just removed the games. But they can certainly do more well within the law and not notify you. In fact, they can notify the authorities, depending upon where you live.

Is tough to find information about the resellers, but here's how they often work: person steals credit card numbers, that order a bunch of games from gog or other sites. They sell the keys on discount shops. You buy the keys. The gog credit card purchase is revoked and so gog removed the game.

Do it a lot and it's imagine there's freeze or delete your account and not want to do business with you anymore.

Although you don't feel like you're a thief, you are in their eyes. You purchased good ls with a stolen credit card. Repeatedly, probably. And that causes a lot of work for them. With that I'd imagine they have little tolerance for.

Lastly, a real-world example. You bought the TV from the back of a van and are now complaining that the police are knocking on your door and you're telling them that you thought the van was a legitimate storefront.

You can complain a lot here. And I hope you've learned a lesson. But by reading your posts, if I was running this business, I'd ban you from my store.

So, to the OP, try contacting a blue here. They may be able to accelerate your ticket and get your account fixed.

Sure buying from Kinguin or G2A are bad ideas, and you risk losing your money when you do, but that's no reason to lock out a whole account. Some of you guys need to seriously back off the judgmental "you stole from them by buying bad keys" bullshit and try to be actually helpful instead of arguing ethics with someone whose moral compass obviously differs from yours. OP is also being a prick, which isn't helping (and is most likely contributing to the attitudes of other posters) but jeez guys, let's all calm down and just relax.

I'm gonna chip in for a sec for what it's worth.

You know that link I posted earlier that you said you read alrady? The one where GOG said their support backlog could last into January and that they would prioritize certain types of tickets first.

It's possible your particular type of issue is lower on the list or takes much longer for them to investigate. The auto generated emails, along with the 2nd email (IIRC) seems to say something to that effect. I'll go back and check sometime today to verify that.

BTW, I asked for a refund on day 1 of the sale for Haegemonia, since 1 or 2 days after I bought it, the Winter sale happened and the price went down from $1.49 to $0.99, so I asked for a refund and gifted the lower valued one to myself in the meantime.

It's been 2 weeks now and I still haven't gotten my refund. So if my simple case takes this long and I've gotten refunded for my type of issue a couple times in the past a couple of times, then. I imagine yours at the very least is in the same position where time is concerned.

I believe my ticket was opened on the 16th. If yours opened after mine, then it may have been a bit unjustified to put all that blame on GOG. Not to preach or anything, but when it comes to buying things, my approach is "better safe, than sorry".

LOL I just recalled something dumb I did in the past right as I was finishing up this reply. I used to play Diablo 2 on Bnet for like 4 years and for some reason I had to reinstall it during the 4th year and lost the only mod I ever used for it called maphack.

Practically everyone was using it in PvP back then. It allowed you to see enemy players as red dots on the screen I think. But I ended up downloading it from what I thought was the same site and ouch!

It turned out to be a keylogger and the friendly hackers were kind enough to strip all my chars and even leave a funny message in my inventory LOL I felt so stupid, but I sure learned a lesson that day. =P

Oh man those were fun times playing my poison/slow Zon and t-storm Sorc, at least until the hacked items go into the game. Then not so fun for us legit item using players lol.

Yes, you face having a malfunctioning code or having it dissapear after a while, but that's no reason to cancel an account. Your issues should be with THE GAME ITSELF, NOT THE ACCOUNT. This is clearly an error, as so suddenly a lot of us are having this problem. If this was indeed illegal, no one would be receiving their accounts back and they would have put a statement up a long time ago, as its impossible we're the first ones to redeem third party codes in GOG. So please, stop with this nonsense and blame. This has never been an issue that resulted in your account suspended, in any platform.

Nothings been stolen. If someone has used fraud with a credit card to buy games then that is the crime.
The game codes themselves are a side issue.

The real problem is credit cards,idiot banks and cashbacks.


People are then trying to conflate key resellers with that because of their own interests.
