Basically I buy a game I want on sale at Steam and then a few days later it comes out on Gog...

The only reason I don't buy it on Gog is because its not there.

Specifically (lately) "Supraland" and "PC Building simulator".

What do you do to stay up to date? do I wait a month before each release hoping it might pop up on Gog?

I want to support people who support no DRM.

Thanks.

**EDIT**: I just bought some games I own on steam on Gog just to support the platform, I am feeling pretty good with myself : )

I don’t buy games on Steam.
Never.
Ever.

It seems to work quite well for now.

I have no idea how to respond to that.

I am the same way. I support GOG's mission of no DRM in (sp) games....but if Steam has a game and it's DRM free(or can be made that way) I will buy it there if there is a sale and if gog doesn't have it yet.

Try buying some triple A titles, let's see if your theory stands :P.

Either

1) Wait longer for a possible GOG release
2) Email the publisher / developer to see if they can gift you a GOG key (with proof of purchase of course)
3) Hope for GOG connect somewhere down the line
4) Bite the bullet and purchase it a 2nd time on GOG

Happens to me as well - recently with Swag and Sorcery, PC Building Simulator.. and quite a few others... I usually end up utilizing option 4 ><
Not at all and the majority of triple A titles i couldn't care less about anyway so i don't feel compelled to use steam. AA's, Classics and Indie is where's it's at for me as well as the occasional CDPR games.

Yes, you wait for a couple of weeks to see if it shows up on GOG..unless it's a triple A game from one of the companies the uses DRM heavily, in which h case you have no choice but to buy on Steam.

I prefer GOG but will buy on Steam if it's the only way to get a game..like the first two games n the "Total War" series "Shogun" and "Medieval" where the Steam version is the only way to get a playable on a modern computer version of the game.

I just buy what I think might be enjoyable.

trying to broaden my taste.

I guess I'll start doing that now, either that or bite the bullet like the dude a bit above you said and buy it twice.

It's especially annoying when something comes a VERY short time later, with no warning, like Void Bastards. Nothing we can really do about it though. Luckily most indies come here day one, and new big publisher stuff is rare to begin with, so it's relatively rare.

I only buy AAA games in Steam which I really want to play. Old and small games can wait for GOG no worries. But I really want to check out one of my favorite games from good old days, it's called The Great Escape. There are also a few decent ZX Spectrum games available on Steam only. That could be a challenge for me have I a lot of free time and money ;)
Thank goodness my common sense helps me to support GOG mostly and my games collection exceeds Steam four times already.

Can you please tell us what games you bought on STEAM, so we know in advance what comes out on GoG. Thanks.
I think GOG is trying to remedy this "situation" by announcing more upcoming games.
