Could push that We Are consciousness that can run individually or all together and it's up to us as a species to go... somewhere or nowhere. Have found that in the person of Jesus, an Avatar of God Almighty, there is a great chance for humanity to unite in loving each other. As it has been observed above, Christianity comes from the Judeo religion as Jesus was Jewish himself and Muslims worship Jesus too. We were laughing with my Muslim friend that Muhammad took East and Jesus took the West, and while Hindu and Buddhists accept Him and the Chinese making most of Christmas trees and decorations... so I think ... this game can succeed worldwide really. I am not hiding my feelings so the interest in the game is truthful, and I would rather make myself look silly and ask to laugh at me than intend to make people fight around love to Jesus.

Haven`t played it, yet it telling interesting for the RPG table play story.

I read Narnia as a kid and loved it, but at the same time every single reference in the book went right over my head. It was a little preachy at times but the adventure bits more than made up for it. Although it did baffle me that Aslan would choose to appear as a lamb sometimes. Lambs are lame. All in all, I enjoyed them, except for the last one, that one I thought was terrible and a bit creepy, even back then.

Years later I went back to it as an adult, and realized how horrible it truly was.

This thread is even worse than I expected.

Whether I would even try the demo, very much depends on what the game is about.

If it is just some religious propaganda, then no way.

However, if it is just about the story as detailed in bibles, then why not. They say The Bible is the greatest story ever told, and to me that is all it is, so I have no fear of playing it, as I wouldn't with any other imaginative story.

It's all about intent and perspective for me.

I don't believe in Gods, especially religious ones, and I certainly don't like any religions.

But in the right context, the whole thing is quite interesting, especially from a mental perspective, but also as an entertaining story. I certainly won't go in thinking any of it is real, even though some aspects are historical in real life.

I'd be looking for the same value I would get out of any game.

I suppose I am asking too much for it to have some of the humor of Life Of Brian or The Book Of Mormon musical by the South Park creators.

It was hilarious, and I still can't believe the Mormons didn't complain about it, especially after having seen it live when it toured the world.

Alas, not sure if it is still touring, as no doubt COVID happened a few months after I saw it. Hopefully they will (or did) film it and release that one day. It was even better for me perhaps, because I'd read The Book Of Mormon as a child. Like the Bible, it is well worth a read, and of course Mormons see it as an extension or added chapter to the Bible ... not that I think any of it is true ... makes for interesting thinking though. There are some jokes you probably won't really get the full joy of, unless you know the full story. That said, I went with three couples who had no real knowledge of The Book Of Mormon, and they loved the musical. For one couple it was their second viewing as they had seen it in England many months before while on holiday there. They thought it was fabulous, and talked the other couples into seeing it. Alas my wife was ill on the day, and I took a visiting cousin instead, who like me, had read the book as a child. He and I kept looking at each other and laughing our heads off.

Actually, I personally have little care about the game's message, and my doubt is mostly about the entertainment side of the project. It looks too similar to those crappy "Bible for kids" games from the 90-s.

Maybe because it didn't try to be insulting? I don't know - I haven't seen it, nor have I read Book of Mormon. The only media based on Mormon religion I knew before now was Battlestar Galactica.

We have to tread carefully here, as religious discussions are against the rules.

Well it was very crude at times, in a clever way of course, and they sure were making fun of Mormon beliefs. Did they stray into insulting Mormons? Maybe, if you consider believing in something that maybe only the gullible would, as an indicator of level of intelligence, then perhaps.

I have heard (read) that even some Mormons enjoyed the show ... of course much of it was tongue-in-cheek humor.

I don't know you from a bar of soap, and yet you send me a youtube link that has some religious aspect, perhaps even something humorous.

I'm not in the habit of watching youtube clips sent to me by a stranger, and I'm not much into watching youtube clips in any case. Personally I class much of it as spam.

Personally I don't think it is the greatest story ever told, far from it. The Lord Of The Rings trilogy for instance, leaves it for dead. But in the context of how the bible has impacted the world and many lives, and how many people who barely read or have never read anything else, it has had the impact of the greatest story ever told.

I could say more ... Shakespeare etc ... but I won't.
