Fesin: Does anybody know if the games are available in German too, or only in English?
Mainly interested in Chain's of Satinav and The Whispered World, since there's no German version here on GOG.com.

Otherwise it's definitely a nice bundle
So far I've only downloaded the DRM-free version of Deponia, and there's a German option in the installer. I have The Whispered World next in line, and Chains of Satinav after that. It'll take several hours on my crappy connection, but I'll post an update if no one has confirmed a German option on those games by that time.

Well duh! They are a German company after all, right? Not sure why this is a problem....

Because GOG has problems getting the German version due to licensing issues?

Momo1991: Then why the heck is W&G on the wikipedia? Sheesh, guess my prof's were right - wikipedia sux!
Because it's on the list of games they published. ;)
You didn't also think they developed Tales of Monkey Island and Botanicula too did you?
Im actually wondering why GOG has licensing problems getting german language for certain games... but HIB doesnt seem to have same issues??
Extras:

Daedalic Artbook 49.5 MB
Daedalic Wallpapers 57.5 MB
Deponia Paper Figurines 5.4 MB

I've never ordered from any of the humble bundle sales before, however in this particular Daedalic set, it says DRM-free installers will be available. Are GOG keys included with it, for those games that are being sold here on GOG as well?

Nope, only Steam keys.

Ah! Thank you for your reply.
You can see available languages on the system requirements page. I am not allowed to post links here, according to this page all games except Shakespeare have the German version included. The system requirements are linked in the middle of the main page at "Fire it up DRM-free and on Steam"

For really old games there might be licensing issues. Other companies made the german version or have the distributing rights for this. This companies, where bought by others or don't exist anymore.

And sometimes GOG just don't care. They were allowed to sell the german version of the Gothic franchise years before they added the german versions. They don't offer the german Settler Games, but Ubisoft was the Publisher for the german market and bought Bluebyte later.

But Daedalic is an other "problem".

It does really seem odd its german versions.... never hear of complaints about lack of other languages for games.Or is it theres a lot more german goggers? :)

IAmSinistar: Not that I know of, but I'm happy to provide a test case. Any game from the bundle you'd like to try?

Momo1991: I tried this with spoderman today and it works fine but sadly the gift is just the key - not the drm-free version with the gift. The drm-free version stays with the gifter. Which is both good for the gifter but bad for the giftee. ~conflicted~
Thanks Momo, that's pretty much what I expected. A bit of a shame since I have two of the games and would have no trouble gifting them entirely, but I can understand why HB did it the way they have.

Maybe that is the thing. It seems that nobody complains about missing french or swedish versions for games, which are available here. The german version for any english game is a "nice to have" and I am perfectly fine with playing old games in english, but modern games which are available multilanguage everywhere and it is a "Daedalic thing" to demand a much higher price from german customers and remove the german language from international available versions. I don't like it and it would leave a bad taste if the really included DRM-free german versions of The Whispered World and Satinavs Chains and don't offer them to their customers here. I own both games as Steam (for the language) and GOG versions. I don't want to pay a third time if I want a DRM-free german installer.
