johnki: EDIT: Is the fixed $6 BTA a thing now? I noticed it with the Egosoft bundle and it seems to be back now.
avatar
Fictionvision: Yep, ever since the Paradox bundle they have started using a set price for the BTA. It was $5.80 then and increased to $6 the week after. Supposedly it is figured from some kind of average among the bundles, but afaik no one ever figured out exactly how it is calculated.
Well the average price is usually something totally ridiculous, so no wonder they're using a fixed price...

Makes me wonder if they really started looking at doing something like the current fixed price after the Alan Wake bundle stagnated at ~$2 for the average. That was just insane and couldn't have helped Remedy all too much with their development costs and whatnot for their next game.
Why do I even bother to look at the Humble Weekly any longer. It's Steam-keys-only week after week after week...

SirPrimalform: Already did both. I also reserve the right to bitch about it in the appropriate topic. :P
^This, because apparently they're big enough now to not care about the opposing voices anymore.

SirPrimalform: Ugh, another Steam only one. The weekly sale has really gone downhill. The Arcen one was great if you missed Indie Royale's Arcen bundle but it seems that over half of them are just Steam key sales.

Leroux: Worse:

Please note: To play Anna you must create an account with Kalypso Media.
avatar
Leroux:
If i understood , Anna has no drm on Desura because it's directly from the Devs.

On Steam - the publisher is Kalyspo.

Beside , as far i know Tropico 4 as the same laucher -_- , however not Jagged Alliance

the laucher isn't fire up , IF you are in offline mode irrc , but goodbye any updates :/
Out of sheer curiosity, why is my post low rated? It baffles me...

I didn't downvote it (I voiced my disagreement out loud), but at a guess it could be the antagonistic tone?

Huh? I mean, if you don't agree HB doing all steamy things, what else can you do than write them angry letters and not buy the bundle?

How can you even make a tone with text?

Its kinda fucked to be honest. The new cut price Steam Reseller

All I can say is how it came across to me... the "Big Bad Steam" bit came across as sarcastic and the second sentence came across as "stop complaining in this thread!".

I agree, text doesn't carry tone but I think it's fairly normal to assign a 'tone of voice' to forum posts when you read them, just as you do dialogue in a book. I guess I just read it with the tone of voice that it seemed to suggest to me, apologies if I misunderstood your intent. I didn't downvote you though, just made my reply.

Yup... especially since one of the Steam only games in this bundle has third party online activation on top of Steam! It's hard to get less DRM-free without asking for blood samples or something. How far Humble Bundle has strayed in the last 6 months...

Humblebundle used to be my favourite place to get games, for their DRM free games with linux versions. But it's true, there are way too many DRM only bundles now. I am really disappointed, they started out so great.

I just hope gog starts selling linux versions soon, so I don't have to boot windows every time I want to play.

Depends on what you play. Wine/PlayOnLinux/Crossover might cure your "need to boot into windows". There are Linux users on here and they might just be able to help you set things up.
Meh, pass. Nothing that I really want at this point, especially in a form of mere Steam keys. Voting with my wallet.

KneeTheCap: And as for that Kalypso account, all my kalypso games need that. You know, even the older ones. Nothing new there.
I haven't yet installed the GOG versions of Tropico Reloaded and Tropico 3... but do they really require a Kalypso account?

On the Steam versions of Tropico 3 & 4 you have to sign up to a Kalypso account and then put in your key for each game when you start for the first time to register it and allow you to actually play it.

GOG version I don't honestly know but I should imagine they will have took stuff like that out so you can literally just play it like any other game from here.
