Hmm. That's exactly the content that I got when I bought the X Superbox for 10$ two years ago. I guess I'll pass on this one. ;)

So what's the deal with the X games and DRM (beyond Steam, that is)? I had heard that there was some nasty stuff on some of the disc versions of some of these games. Is it still present on the Steam versions?

As if there was any more proof needed how much Humble have fallen. All but one of those games have DRM-free versions and the bundle is still Steam only.

Last week's one was similar, all but the Serious Sam HD games had DRM-free versions that they could have included.

Garugo: Egosoft games are up this week!

Pay anything for:
X Rebirth Soundtrack Only

$1:
X: Beyond the Frontier (Windows | Steam)
X-Tension (Windows | Steam)
X2: The Threat (Windows | Steam)
X3: Reunion + Bonus Package (Windows | Mac | Linux | Steam)

$6:
X3: Terran Conflict (Windows | Mac | Linux | Steam)
X3: Albion Prelude + Soundtrack (Windows | Mac | Linux | Steam)
X: Superbox Bonus Material (Steam)
Does X2: The Threat come with a DRM-free link ?

Looks like it's Steam-only.

Also, the Superbox was $7.50 on GamersGate not so long ago..

From the Weekly Humble page:
"Note: This bundle provides Steam keys only."

So, sadly nothing DRM-free this time, aside from probably the soundtracks.
Shit ! :(

Yep. Amazing what a difference a year makes. (Actually about 9 months.)

When it goes on sale again with the temp discount codes and blue coin bonuses GG has you will get close to the $6 average for this anyways.

Are the BTA games worth it for someone who has never played a X-universe game? I mean are they more of the same, just with better graphics?

Well... They are more of the same with better graphics and far more content. As far as I'm concerned, aside from story-based campaigns, the new X games render the old ones quite redundant - you just can do so much more in them.
