Agreed, Humble Bundle has demonstrated unfathomable degrees of idiocy since the start of their Daily Bundles. ;-P
That said, this is a very good DRM-free bundle for those that don't have any or the majority of the games.

You have asked an extremely biased person ;) AoW 1 is my favorite game ever so I obviously prefer this over 2 and SM. But there are different opinions too, although I don't remember anyone preferring AoW2. Not that it's a bad game, far from that actually. It's just SM polishes and expands everything from AoW2 while AoW is significantly different. Main differences:
- battles are longer because of "positioning phase" (both armies start far away from each other) but personally I love this option because you can use it to your tactical advantage.
- Your hero takes part in battles (and it's game over when he/she dies) while in AoW2/SM he/she should be always in a wizard's tower. And as long as you still have at least one tower he/she is basically immortal because he/she will respawn in wizard's tower after getting killed.

Damn... I don't really know what to write... AoW1 and SM are both awesome games (AoW 2 is "only" very good") and it's a matter of personal taste... it would be safer to get them both ;)

$15 dollars to get the complete Divinity set AND the classic Age of Wonders games... this is a seriously tempting humble weekly since I don't have any of the games yet.

If anyone is hesitating, at least get the first tier. Divine Divinity is great and I would recommend it to anyone even slightly interested. Beyond divinity is fun too although it doesn't feel like the first one. I think that was one of the problems fans of the first one had.

I only had Divine Divinity and had been debating on Dragon Commander when it came up on the Insomnia Sale.

So, naturally, I just tossed down $15 for the whole collection.

You are welcome :) You won't even miss anything storywise because Shadow Magic is more like an alternative story. Even though some characters and their experience seem to point that SM is a continuation of AoW2 you can clearly see that it's not the case even during the intro where Merlin is introducing himself to three wizards while Julia and Meandor should have known him very, very well from AoW2.

BTW the story in AoW2 is really nice. It starts as a typical fantasy related "restore the balance to the world" cliché but soon you will get a feeling that something is seriously wrong there

Aow:Sm on the other hand features two of my favorite epic scale battles in games. And those are two last missions. The first one is "one against many" while the other "many against one" and man, that one was really, really hard. Don't think that several powerful allies will help you a lot ;)

I already have the Divinity games (except Dragon Commander, which I don't believe will run on my PC), but I'm quite tempted to get it just for the Age of Wonders games. Then again, I'm not a huge strategy gamer...

Eh, I've got every game but Dragon Commander here at GOG, and I could have gotten it for less than it's being offered on Humble during the Insomnia Sale if I'd been so inclined. That said, it's still an excellent bundle if you don't have any of them *and* it's DRM Free.

It's unfortunate though it's now so unusual that we feel a need to point out a completely DRM Free bundle on Humble...

I'm in the opposite situation. I'm not intro strategy games at all, so, if I cave in and buy the bundle it would be because of the Divinity games (I, Beyond and II DC) and those AoW will go unplayed.

Woo, excellent bundle for someone like me who doesn't have any AoW or Divinity games yet. I've been waiting for the perfect time, the right sale. Well, my friends, that time has come.

It would be perfect if they came with GOG keys too. Ah well, you can't have everything.

Edit: Oh dear, I just realized the hidden catch. Now I have to decide which one to play first!

Now kinda curious as to whether the people at Humble Bundle were trying for a "let's put 1 and 3 on the bottom level, then wall off 2 so people spend more" trick, or if they really were stupid enough to not take the time required to figure out what the sequence of games in the series was.
Also, a paranoid person might have the thought that Humble Bundle was thrilled at the idea of having these together to help steal some of the thunder from GOG's Insomnia Sale. Leave a bunch of people kicking themselves over a 66 percent off sale when they put out a bundle that has an even deeper discount, wishing they'd known so they could skip over and spend their money on Humble Bundle instead.
Ah well, will either wait for a sale or buy the two I don't have at full price from here as intended.

Still, this Weekly is not thta boring as many previous...anyway. better then EVE bundle.

Great bundle (weekly). I'd be all over it if I didn't just get them on GOG recently.
