MadalinStroe: Then again, I was baffled about the original owners selling HB to IGN, but now they look like geniuses. They sold their business just before the collapse, and they avoided all this negativity.
Hah - That's a interesting theory! Might be like that.

Thanks Symphony8 for the info about the new bundle. Yeah I see, at least something appeared - even if it's weak. We'll see what kind of break will be to the next bundle.

TT_TT_TT_TT: Seems like they really shifted towards the monthly which has been really decent this last few months. Can't remember any amazing weekly bundle in ages though

MadalinStroe: I'm still baffled by the monthly flavor. Why keep titles hidden? Are so many people buying the bundle even though the early revealed titles holds no interest to them? Plus, it's not a sustainable system. People will rage should they ever add a title, that was part of a previous monthly bundle.

For me personally, the problem with the current system is that if the revealed titles don't already have a value of about $12, I won't gamble buying it.
Ya while i have bought some of them i'm not the biggest fan of the monthlies either.
Dunno if i like all the early unlocks it's a no brainer - i buy the bundle and if the other unlocks are garbage i call it "fair game" shrug it off and it's okay. If the unlocked games are good/if there is a few other games among the hidden ones i even feel a bit "happy" or like have made a good deal - at like 2 of the monthlies i even liked the hidden unlocks more than the original reveals.

Still feels a bit wasteful as sometimes you really get 3 keys you like and another 6 of games you don't really need/want (i usually give them away then but still feels a bit wasteful and i'm not the biggest fan of the general key "inflation").

It gets problematically if you only like 1 of the unlocks or even 2 of the unlocks are in the "okish" might be slightly interesting scope. If then the random unlocks turn out to be bad you feel like having made a bad deal and feel like having wasted the 12$ or well would have fared better if buying 2 proper games with it.

Actually the worst scenario for me (subjectively) is the (it actually happened at least with 3? bundles for me)
that if i don't like any of the early unlocks/or allready own them and hence you dont buy. And then suddenly there is 3-4 really amazing games among the hidden unlocks........... Then you actually feel bad for not having bought the 3 early unlocks you were not interested at all on the slight chance that the hidden unlocks are good for you and feel kinda cheated -.- - which ya is pretty absurd.

But ya in general it somehow (at least for me) let's to feelings of "regret" quite often so it's not really enjoyable buying experience :D

I've been lucky to only have this happen to me once. Though that one time still pissed me off to no end. Funnily, I can't remember exactly what the bundle was, but I think it was the one with H1Z1.

A perfect example is this month's bundle. Conan and Escapists 2 holds no interest to me, and as good a deal as Hat in Time is for $12, I'm hoping to eventually get in on GOG. I can almost imagine them adding something else I really, really would like. Something like Talos Principle.
What, it's like IGN purchasing Humble Bundle isn't having negative effects?
no, it is juts pining for the fjords

Or: You buy the bundle, hidden games get unlocked, and one of the unlocks is amazing, a game you'd have felt very happy about getting, but then you realize that due to regional restrictions *you* only get a censored, crippled, unpatched version of it that you wouldn't touch with a 10-foot-pole, which makes it worthless and is almost worse than not getting a key at all, and it's a very good bundle only for everyone else, despite you paying the same price. :/

Eh, the BTA is not *that* bad, too bad I haven't seen it yesterday, would've been cheaper.
And after that shithouse game bundle there's another fairly shit software bundle and a book bundle based on CATS!!! ><
