May I introduce myself? I am Little [not always] Goodie Two Shoes, but you can call me
Elise. This is me on my way back home. I took a small break at the river to think about my
work and life. "ELISE, clean my shoes," "ELISE, fetch some water from the well!" "ELISE, do this," "ELISE, do that!" Oh, what would I not give to be rich; then I can have a maid, and everyone would call me MISS ELISE!
After coming home, I discovered that my house has been broken into and robbed. I soon discovered that
the thief was hiding in my shed.
My work, then the townsfolk, AND getting my house robbed was too much for me, so I gave her a
good beating Then I dragged her into my house and ordered her to
clean up the mess she has caused. I also told her that she had better obey, else I would hand her over to the townsfolk.
Before going to bed, I felt terrible. I knew she did not really break in; she was no thief, and granny did not raise me to be like that, so I promised myself to make it up first thing
tomorrow morning. I almost overslept, and if I would come too late to church, Father Hans will give me an earful! So I ran off, and on the way to church, I made a stop by Grandma Gretel's
bakery to buy some pretzels.
