zstrastwa: Glad to help. I was curious about that too after you mentioned multiple libraries, I thought "hmm... I think MusicBee has that." :)
Are you (or somebody else her?) really good at customizing/configuring the MusicBee UI? I have a couple of questions....

nightcraw1er.488: Already have them in separated folder wise, would be nice to be able to switch libraries or have multiple libraries in the same view.
You won't be able to have them in the same view, if this is correct:

Not really, my layout is pretty basic and simple. For me, like with most software, I just mess around for hours until I start to understand it. https://ibb.co/df92hNK a picture of my layout, both my Playlists tab and All Music tab are locked, pretty much the only 2 things I use. I'll remove the Filename list after renaming a bunch of gta and other funny commericals I put together to make it like my own radio. :P

Yeah I've been trying to see if I could have a quick link to just open a library, I think you may be able to with the shortcut functionality. But if not, it's fine for me. I only really want one library.

Okay, thanks. No biggy, I can live with it, genre is set to game soundtrack so I can filter easy enough.
I honestly may be missing something in regard to why that isn't accomplishable with something like foobar2000. If it's all in separate folders, setting up the paths in the library setting and then just creating autoplaylists in corresponding containers/tabs that only read from them seems like the same thing.

In MusicBee that should work, your Auto-Playlist (library for games music for example) would just be there alongside the other playlists. In effect you'd use playlists as libraries for other types of music seperate from your typical listening.

Yup I just did it. You can select a Folder directory and set "any" perimiters for tracks to be added. So it makes a Playlist effectively an auto-updating Library. :D

https://ibb.co/d0SxBDG So this is awesome. :D Keep in mind "Games and OST" doesn't show up anywhere but this playlist. Sweet!

Auto-Playlist on MusicBee should be exactly what you're looking for, since you already have those different genres of music seperated by folder. :)

zstrastwa: You can scan in multiple Libraries. File/Library/Creat New Library
avatar
teceem: That's MusicBee right? Thanks!!

vv221: Out of curiosity, what is your need for multiple databases?

Here I would handle that with multiple Music Player Daemon instances, each one using its own database.
avatar
teceem: I like having my (many) compilations separate from full albums. Not using Linux.
Replying to you just to make sure you see, you can also scan in multiple libraries by just using Auto-Playlists. You can set it to monitor a folder completely seperate from your main library in MusicBee. (See my above post and picture)

Do those playlists have the same functionality as a library? (sorting/filtering/thumbnail per album/etc...)

I assume Musicbee to be similar, but they do in foobar2000 I do know for certain.
