Suppose that you are at the voting booth, and there is a referendum. However, there is no information provided on what the referendum does, or the description provided is incoherent. Do you:

* Vote Yes?
* Vote No?
* Leave the question blank?

I think I would probably leave it blank, though I could see a good justification for voting No.

(For purposes of this question, assume it's too late to do any research to find out what the referendum actually *is*.)

I would vote for an imaginary cartoon character, Donald Truck. It is kind of a mix of Donald Duck and Donald Trump.

For argument's sake, let's say someone had put a gun at your head and brought you to the booth.

In the booth, you realize it is a toy gun. How do you react? Do you:

1. Laugh.
2. Cry.
3. Tell him it is a toy gun.
4. Punch him in the face.
5. Kick him to the groins.
6. Yell "rape".
7. All of the above.

All of them except #2 in the following order: 1 3 1 ... 4 4 4 6 ... 5 5 5 6 ... 1 3 1 3 1 (and repeat)

I would proceed to pepper spray everyone in the immediate area, followed by hunting down and tazing you.

This has to be one of the dumbest questions I've ever seen.

Perhaps there's some other question on the ballot that you do know about, and you came for the question you do, but the same ballot has the question you don't.

Complain to polling official that there's clearly something wrong.

Blame the media.

Then you vote on, and only on, the issues you understand. You actually need this explained to you...?

I'm hoping this is just a self deprecating joke but the OP claims to be a feminist... likely a third wave feminist so this topic makes more sense in that light.

That's not the same case you stated in your OP, so my answer remains the same: I would not be there if I would not know in before why I should be there.
