I am new to Gog.com, just joined yesterday to buy Ultimate General: Gettysburg. I downloaded the setup but when I try and run it, it says "The set up files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." I tried looking up how to solve this issue, but to no avail. I tried to use the gog downloader but I have no clue how to use it, when I open it, it is just a gray box, with the only buttons I can press being settings. I tried to get Gog galaxy, but the download froze and had to cancel it. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you could, please make it as simple as possible to understand as I am not very good with computers. Thanks!

You could try redownloading the game again, as it seems to have been corrupted during the download.

As for the GOG downloader, go to your library, click Ultimate General: Gettysburg's box and you should see a button called "More". Click it and you should see an option called "GOG Downloader Links". Click the one for the Windows installer and it should start downloading it.

If you have the downloader you need to go to your library here on gog, click on a game and then on the "More" button. There you can choose "gog downloader links". If you then click on the links there it should normally open the downloader and the setup files should start downloading.

It says, "Unable to fetch data". What should I do now?

Try refreshing your account by clicking the following link:

https://www.gog.com/account/refresh

Once you have done so, exit the application (make sure to close it completely by right-clicking the downloader's icon on the system tray, located at the bottom right corner of Windows and selecting exit) and then try clicking the Windows installer from the GOG downloader links again.
I recommend not using the downloader and just directly download from your library. Account>Library>click on the game, you should see the "downloads" right there. Make sure the OS displayed for DLs is your OS, click on each file (if there is more than 1) and download them all (no "open with" selection, always "save to") Wait for all of the downloads to finish. Double click the first file from the list (always an .exe, if I'm not mistaken) and begin your install. If you get the option, make sure to do "integrity check" before the install.

OK, one more try. Restart your PC and click the game's GOG Downloader link one more time.
Its the same for me, I want to download an hour ago a new version of a game I recently bought,
and the download broke mid the way. Since that I tried to redownload, but it doesn't work any more.

May be it is a more general issue?
