tinyE: It's an expression. :P
I know. I was simply enjoying messing with you.
get your water tested for impurities, especially fluoride.

cut out fluoride entirely (get toothpaste without it)

stop taking any pharmaceuticals

stop using deodorants that contain metals, make sure nothing else you take has things like aluminum in it (and stop drinking out of cans, which are made of aluminum)

stop eating tomatoes out of a can (this includes canned soups or anything tomato based coming from a can.)

start drinking Brigg's Apple Cider Vinegar daily (with the "mother") - this is shown to have extreme affects on the pituitary gland and in turn helps overall brain function (HUGEly effective!!!)

play "memory" (where you have a bunch of tiles and there are 2 of each and you put them face down and flip them over 2 at a time and try to match pairs, I'm sure there are online versions of this) or "simon" (the color/sound game that makes you repeat the last combination and adds one each round.)

read books: the innate brain function of retaining character information and story plots and all details is a great way to help memory, just stick with it

do you listen to much music? this innately increases memory function because the mind "remembers" songs after repeat listening and helps those brain processes

as for smoking weed:

I've been smoking regularly since I was 16 and I smoke a LOT (well, not these past couple years because of finances, but, I'm 34, and through the years I've always been the one of everyone I know who smokes the most, and it is A LOT) - and I have an excellent memory, like, damningly so (no one seems to remember diddly and I'm always like "omg you don't remember???' it's highly frustrating.) I always smoked weed when going to HS and college, I was constantly high, and learned to learn high. My brain doesn't turn off or go passive, it becomes sharp and functions better when high, actually.

SOOO, maybe start smoking weed and then playing memory or simon or reading or watching movies and listening to music (not at the same time though) while high?

it could also have a lot to do with diet. do you eat a lot of junk food? fast food? chemical additives in your food? maybe change to an organic diet, cut out all the BHA, BHT, TBHQ, MSG, and the other THOUSANDS of additives that get put in standard food. coffee and soda are also horrible for the brain. alcohol can also be an issue.

I switched to a completely organic diet over the past few years (it is a process, certainly) and my brain function is better than it has ever been.

How much sleep do you get? sleep is a crucial factor to brain function

exercise as well, fresh air and sunlight are not to be under-valued.

I also constantly cook with multiple spices, including turmeric (which goes in almost everything!) if you like spicy food I also highly recommend cayenne or hot-peppers of any variety...and lots and lots of garlic!

Dessimu: - Regular and healthy sleep

- Again, having a good sleep
I heard this is the most important thing.
Memory works like a muscle. You have to use it.
If you really have issues to even memorize thing (I am not talking about recollection here), talking to yourself might help, or just writing things down. You have to know if you remember better things you see, hear or touch/write.
If everything that I told you in chat fails try NZT.
I have seen it in a documentary and it works.
Time to get a RAM upgrade. I recommend Kingston or Corsair.

I know where you're getting THAT from... But still, my goal is not to become a mastermind yet, so only if other suggestions fail.

Don't you want to be a US senator or work with FBI?
Then don't worry dear... NZT-48 is here!!! ;)

That caught me by surprise!..

But overall, the water here very clean, that I know for a fact. Using pharmaceuticals is a rare thing. Haven't really used any deodorants. Just some men's perfume to drive ladies mad. Never ate canned tomatoes either. I have heard something about apple cider vinegar and olive oil being healthy, but it is not a habit of mine to take them. Memory games - yes! Books - yes! Music - yes, smooth jazz and classical mostly. Weed - no weed. Sleep is irregular, but I am starting to pay attention to it. Junk food - not much at all. I think. Chemicals - well, I do get some dosage every day, it's hard not to. Additives - also well, umm, spices mainly, but little to none of the sauces. And when I do add some sauce, it is either ketchup or mayonnaise. I did hear peppers and chili and other spicy spices can give a boost for mind. Erm, because of blood pumping harder. Garlic is good! Actually, it's great!

I agree, it is important to brain and train it. I also know I have a better visual memory. Lets say I am attending a concert. And now I have to tell you about it. First I would tell the overall idea, whether I liked it or not. Then I would tell you what I've seen. Then I might tell you what melodies I've heard, but hardly. I would try but fail to tell what song words, lyrics I have heard or what exactly the organizers said. And lastly, if you would want to know what I felt (physically), I could only tell that if I payed any attention as to what I touched. So, yeah... Visual memory is best for me.

This might be the easiest solution so far.

Check this site:

Plenty of articles about learing, memorizing, forgeting etc. I've been using the software for years (mainly to learn vocabulary of foreign languages) but its functionality goes beyond that. They have freeware versions.

NZT-48? Does it work for 48 hours?

Dessimu: I am not a painter, so don't have paint present in my surroundings. Also, I tended to travel from place to place, from country to country and as I recall where I've been, poisoning is not likely the cause. But still, a good thought.
That's good, I suppose (if it isn't something worse), because while lead detox is possible (and necessary, because lead simply accumulates until it becomes deadly) any damage done to the organism is likely to be permanent.

Dessimu: Additives -
I do mean artificial additives, everything from "natural flavors" (which can contain up to 200 different chemical substances that are not natural at all, and also "beaver butt", which is natural, but, who wants to eat that?"

YES, beaver butt is a possible ingredient of "natural flavor"!!! believe it, or look it up, the documentation is there!!!

to

anything that is hard to pronounce, abbreviated, or isn't actually a real food (here in the US they put SOOOO much into food that is petroleum based or chemical-derived that should not be being consumed.)

OH! and make sure any dough/bread products you consume use "unbleached" flour. BLEACH is horrible for you/the brain, and a lot of food is bleached (here in the US.)

I highly recommend (to everyone out there!) to look up every single ingredient that you don't know what it is/means and seeing what it is. Even ketchup and mayonnaise can contain up to a dozen or more additives that are just not good for you.

I'll reiterate the amazing affects of RAW ACV (with the "mother".) Start this TODAY if you can!!!

Weed can also help with sleep patterns! However, it's a strong thing, and I wouldn't just start smoking blindly without talking to an experienced user. Send me a message if you want to talk about it more.

Complex music is better for the brain than non-complex music. So depending on the type of smooth jazz or classical, you might want to try something a bit different. Progressive metal has been shown to do amazing things for brain function!!! Its complex patterns and elaborate developments and stimulation are crazy things. I can turn you on to some instrumental stuff if you like. (Liquid Tension Experiment is a great place to start.)

9Istec9: See a doctor as soon as posible! It might be nothing, but you never know, look what happened to Totalbiscuit: he just ignored his symptoms for some time without realizing he had bowel cancer. If he had had it treated earlier it might have been curable.
T'is the first time I hear about Totalbiscuist's cancer. Sad. I hope he didn't lose all hope to live for.

metal detox in general, too, aluminum is a huge issue on memory
