How many releases per week could GOG manage without overwhelming customers? Can they increase output while still allowing each game a chance to shine? Is there a happy medium between their current boutique approach and opening the floodgates like Steam as they continue to grow?

Another one? Well, it is Thursday already... I guess "moar releases" is the new "why no more old games?"

For me 6-7 releases per week are perfect.
Could GOG bear what?
Bear?

This topic isn't meant to be a simplistic call for MOAR RELEASES, it's about examining the pros and cons of increased output.

Bear means support in this context. #GOGBear

How many games could a GOG bear if a GOG could bear games?

A GOG would bear as many games a GOG could bear if a GOG could bear games :D
Considering how most of good games are "too niche" for GOG, even with 7 releases per week i'd be happy. :P
And what is wrong with the current flow of releases? Right now, we get about a half dozen new (to GOG) games each week, why do we need them to push out more than that? Frankly, things were fine when there was just the Tuesday/Thursday schedule that maxed out at maybe four games a week, the current 6ish is actually a bit hard to stay on top of, with things like Real Life© interrupting on a regular basis.

There we go, someone who got the joke.

There's no wrong in this discussion, just what is and could be.

And yes, even this.

I like the boutique approach and will buy the games I like here. Or somewhere else if they're not here. Also: I'm pretty sure I'd be set for life if GOG immediately dropped to 0 per week...

*sigh*

I came here to make a GOG bear joke...
...and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.

And do you buy all of them?

That's a good point. The majority of GOG customers aren't going to be interested in every release, so an increased output might mean seeing more of the types of games that do interest them.
