Well, it's pretty easy to "boycott" something you didn't want in the first place. ;)
I don't boycott Steam, I just prefer to buy my games elsewhere, where they won't be dependent on a client. And I refuse to give them my RL data and let them store it, when all I want is to buy a game via PayPal. I have a few Steam games though that I traded with other gamers, very cheap and mostly casual games. I would never spend more than $10-15 for any game on Steam though (in fact I think I didn't even spend $10 so far).
