ME! I boycott it double ways; uninstalled ages ago and buy nothing, plus pirate its exclusives that are not sold here, through noSTEAM!

Honestly, though, if the games i am interested in, were offered HERE (and were not exclusives to steam), i would have instabought them already (and would never bother to steal).

When you boycott something you need to ignore it, by pirating it you're still adding yourself to active player base. Just saying.

I don't even have an account there, and I don't plan to make one any time soon.
After 15+ years sailing under the Jolly Roger, I discovered GOG a few months ago and I am now paying for my games -and not feeling stupid for doing so.

I was a very active Steam-User since 2009 because it was a cheap and convenient way to get games, have them up to date, get information about them and to stay in contact with friends.Valve also felt a bit like an Underdog because they released indie titles and didnt like Microsoft. But since they changed into something i dont like, i guess i have to stay away from them from now on. (no refund,crappy support, early access, greenlight and now Workshop/paid mods)
Everything has to end someday, but i am not sure how consequent i will boycott valve.
I will continue to use Steam (nearly 400games and its my Nexus to my friends) but i will try not to buy anymore and get my stuff from somewhere else.

Well, I boycott due to: 1.) monopolies are bad in general, 2.) Steam is specifically customer unfriendly, 3.) DRM & geo-locking (yeah, I know... gog is on a bad road here too) should be not part of the future IT & software ecosystem.

I resisted Steam for "Homeworld Remastered", which was hard. After I read about the messed up HW1 game mechanics & removed LAN functionality, this feels not bad anymore. So, thanks Steam, protected me from a buy which I would have regreted.

I don't. Never had any real problem with them, apart from the fact they're inconvenient when your home is completely cut from internet (the reason I prefer portable GOG installers).
I tend to wait for a discount when I buy from them, though (whereas I bought a fair number of GOG games full release price). But boycotting a shop that proved quite handy to me a few years ago feels silly.

I try other retailers when possible for steam and only buy on discount.

Well, I don't know how KiNgBrAdLeY7 promotes piracy in other threads...but in general, while I would not encourage piracy in this context, I do think too there can be situations where piracy is the legitimate answer of the society to a broken software ecosystem. E.g. "orphaned (software) works" which are available no where -> abandonware (see intenet Archive). Or a crucical software piece of infrastructure relevance is available only under draconian DRM/pay-wall/ridicioulus price etc.

While for my taste Steam currently crosses NOT my border of distaste to encourage piracy as society counter-measure (partly, as alternatives like GOG still exist), I can understand people feeling already so strong. Steam is clearly pushing the software ecosystem structure in a direction where I also would support such extreme counter-measures in the future. :P
