I would just like to butt in with the simply pessimistic point that : the EU has since its inception been held together with the belief that "together we are better". Or if you like it better with "sticky tape and hope".
Now it appears that everybody want out of the EU and fast.
Myself I like the idea of a United European Union, it has done me okay. But as things do begin to crack I can see the beginnings that we saw now, over 100 years ago. I fear our leaders and diplomats may not be up to the high standards we need and the public across Europe appear to have no faith that their interests (best, or other) are being served any longer by those who push a united Europe.
The poorer states are being left defenceless and without help, whilst the richer states act like spoilt children unwilling to aid should their tea go cold and expecting everyone to do as they do.
What does this have to do with Poland? I wonder if they will be the first brick removed from the podium, or if they will attempt to correct the mass madness at the top for the betterment of their people. Only time can tell the answers.
