Only tried two, nothing I wanted. Got Volgarr The Viking which although a platformer, a type of game I like, has never interested me since I first saw it.

And then I got Legend of Grimrock which is a type of game I have never liked, even if I have barely played any (always look like they would bore me, and the only thing I remember from trying games like this with friends in the past was being bored)

ScotchMonkey: Spelunky (made a mistake and did not select the gift option so I'm stck with it)
Don't download it and contact support. They'll probably agree to convert it to a gift code.
Fairly close to the 700 mark in my library so i was suprised with the 8 games i got. No complaints here.

Dark eye
Sword of the Stars
Shadowgate
Aarklash: Legacy
Dreamfall Chapters season pass
Jazzpunk
Repulique
Steamworld dig

It is bad for be because I am only short of 169 titles from the entire GoG catalog, so really limited choices.

I would but I made that mistake once before when I was trying to do a giveaway. They fixed it for me though which was great.

Now I'd be too embarrassed to ask again.

Besides I may actually like Spelunky.
I got Shadow Warrior 2013 which I can't play because it gives me motion sickness. So support gave me a refund so I could try again and I got Desktop Dungeons. I prefer a more traditional rogue-like but I wouldn't say I did too badly out of this one.

mrkgnao: All in all the most disappointing GOG sale yet.
Yep, this is the lamest GOG sale i've ever seen.

So i didn't buy anything and save my bucks for the next sale with classic games. :D
I was able to get 3 games in pinatas that I did not have previously at a pretty snazzy price.

Lumino City 85% off
Randal's Monday 85% off
Hot Tin Roof 80% off

In the process, I also received 2 games that I already had, God's Will Be Watching and Sword of the Stars: The Pit Gold Edition (which GOG's system thought I didn't own because I had previously purchased the base game and Gold upgrade separately).

Unfortunately, I was not able to snag Dreamfall Chapters or Republique since there was no pre-notification that I would receive a previously owned game. Once I got my first "gift", I didn't even make another attempt.

That said, GOG has now processed my refund/store credit requests, and apparently, SOTS Gold Edition is going to stay marked as owned in the catalog. So I'm a rather happy camper overall.

Edit: Actually, that ended up being not true. I couldn't get any games to open in the my account screen, so I performed an account refresh and now SOTS Gold Edition is no longer marked as owned. C'est la vie

Bought three from the first batch, and got four games for it:

Randall's Monday (which was worth the $9 by itself)
Dust: An Elysian Tale
Halfway
Edna and Harvey: The Breakout (included with Randall's Monday)

So for me, this was a home run.

But I sat out the second round. Not much worth picking up there. Wish I could have gotten Dreamfall or Republique, but you can't win 'em all.
I hope to one day get the chance to whack the shit out of an actual pinata :P

Same here. I`m not interested in random number generator type sales, and the few indies that are interesting for me I have bought long ago. I`m wondering how the GOG team came to this idea and what Crunched Koalas did to convince GOG to make this lame sale.
I`m a big fan of GOg and I bought games at every sale they had, but this one... Nah man, you could do better, GOG!!!

Most motion sickness in the games is usually a FOV issue. For computer games the FOV usually is way too low. Although if you're just not used to playing 3D games, that too can be an annoyance and cause motion sickness.

I know of a Mexican targeted store that has pinatas... If we were close enough neighbors, we could take turns beating the crap out of it :P

Gived it a try since I had 1£ credit... come out shadowgate.

I hate this things. It's just a waste of money. The only two adventure game I got is from this pinata and another similar sale.

Damn GOG, give games based on most popular genre of the customer, or it's just a waste of money, no matter the value of the game you give, if I don't like it.

Lol that's a big if :) I do hope to visit the states one day though, to see the giant redwoods, Yosemite and Utah.

Yeah... i noted your location before i had replied before, so i knew we were too far apart to make beating a pinata possible...
