Linko90: It's a Blizzard thing.

If you're ignoring how protective Blizzard are with their IPs i don't know what you want me to say lol

blotunga: Wow, finally someone blue speaks about these things. Kudos. And also unfortunately it's unofficial confirmation that no Blizzard games will come here in the foreseeable future.
I mean it's not an official GOG statement, so don't take it as one. But let's be clear, Blizzard (much like Nintendo) are fiercely protective of their IPs which they still sell on their client. I feel like this hopefully answer the OP :P

I hate you. Shut up. Go to hell. Eat shit and die.

So, who do you like in the Mexico?Brazil game? :D

ZFR: I have the discs.

Yet to play.

Soon...

tinyE: You have the D1 disc? Far out.
I bought it the day it came out but have long since lost them.

Still have my D2 discs, and my D2 Manual, and my Prima Strategy Guide.

If I'd only known what a revolutionary game it would be I would have taken better care of them.
I have the Battlechest edition (1, 2+exp, game guide) and bought Hellfire separately. Since around mid 2000s. Meant to play it soon, but there was always another RPG I wanted to do first, and then I started all the Might and Magic games (till 9), so put other RPGs on hold. Finishing Dark Messiah of Might and Magic now, the last of the bunch, after which I plan to start Diablo. Probably mid-July.
Over Blizzard's dead body ; p
Maybe, some time in the future..
Just BTW, I hate DRM BUT StarCraft 2 IS WORTH THE HASSLE.
Thankfully I have Diablo 1 + hellfire + 2 + lod. All disc imaged and ready to go anytime. Only thing I miss from the set (and not to bothered if I can't get this boxed) is Diablo arsenal. Anyone know if it is worth it, only one I could find was on eBay for £30.

As for blizzard, wouldn't care two jots if they did want to release it here, even Diablo himself wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire after the Diablo 3 atrocity.

Joe_Burlock: How can GoG not have Diablo 1? And dont say its a blizzard thing because it's not...it'd be perfect to have on there..
I don't know what you want people to say, it really seems like it's a Blizzard thing. Maybe if you explained why you think it's not a Blizzard thing you might get more useful answers.

But.. but... but he has already explained that:

I have the disk too, and the box... and the other disk (Hellfire) but that one has a parrot on it which always says "Polly want cookie...". Still could beat myself for not picking it up when it was for sale for 15 German Marks... but I was a student back then and 15 DM were a lot of money and there were other shiny games...
Still not parting from it...

DIABLO 1 CONFIRMED!!!11!!

Then again, I personally felt that while the dark atmosphere in Diablo 1 was great, the gameplay was pretty much broken:

- play an archer or a wizard casting fireballs: you will be constantly missing your target unless they either don't move, or move in a very direct beeline towards you.

- play melee: the gameplay quickly becomes "you and your enemy keep hitting each other as fast as you can, until one of you dies". No tactic, no eye-hand coordination, no nothing. Just click as fast as you can and hope for the best.

IIRC Diablo 2 fixed many of those problems (like arrows still hit an enemy even if he moves to the side or diagonally), but it mostly lacked the sinister and dark atmosphere of the first game. A sunlit Arabic desert village just isn't the same as a dark dungeon with bloody corpses.

The difference is that GOG is not selling pirated games like those other "gaming sites".

I know right? Refreshing.

@OP: It's totally Blizzard. You know how many votes these games have and how much GOG would love to have them here because of all that $$$? ... probably a lot.
