falloutttt: It does! Just a different kind of games. :D

Life in general, here on earth or anywhere in the multiverse is nothing but a game.

teceem: And there's a lot to dislike about that game.
there's no one else to blame for it but you. :)

cheer up, friend! we are the creators of that game.

Humans are created by the universe, life, a human doesn't create the universe and the life that made her/him, nor does she/him create herself/himself. A solid reason to look after each other, 'own responsibility' is a (political) excuse to look another way when people suffer. But I should stop now, this is not a political forum.

Leroux: I think my actual backlog is less than 10% of my collection, and still overwhelmingly large ... Especially since a lot of the games included are epic length RPGs or open world games.

teceem: I know the feeling. I still want to play all the Divinity games (recently started the first one). I feel like it's going to take a couple of years...
At least with that series, I've already crossed half of the titles off my list (completed Divine Divinity and Divinity 2, decided against playing Beyond Divinity, but stopped playing D:OS halfway through, because my co-op partner lost interest, and have yet to play D:OS2).

But there are other acclaimed series I have yet to complete a single game in, like Fallout, Knights of the Old Republic, Witcher etc. ...

Let's call it philosophical differences and not pretend we know the absolute truth.

You messed up your quotes, putting my words in Leroux's mouth accidentally.

As for not knowing: i only log if I've finished a game, I don't know when I finished a game or how much time it took. Exceptions are games finished in 2017-2019, when I started keeping track of dates in my post in the games finished in 20XX topics (https://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_finished_in_2017/post1254, https://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_finished_in_2018/post245).

I got low rated for that pic? XD

A lot of Indiana Jones haters in here I guess. :P
Out of 1070 games I've completed 134...

Every time I see how many games I have I can't fathom how the heck
I managed to buy over a thousand games. I know I'm never going to
play most of them. Then I realize if I'd just bought the games I really
wanted and not everything in sight I could have bought more comic
books and action figures.

Sweet, sweet action figures. The true meaning of life.

Aw, well at least most of the games were on sale when I bought'em
so I can keep telling myself I saved a lot money or something.

Your 12,5% easily beats my 4,4 though. Action figures? You appear to be a Geek God =)
I have 60 games and i have played about 10-15. And I plan to play about 30 of them the other ones i got for free when gog gives away games. I almost have all of the Heros of might and magic games and might and magic games
I've completely made peace with the fact that I play most games for an hour or two and then ditch them forever. Right now I am focusing on playing games that I am excited to play, that I will have fun with. It is working. I'm enjoying my gaming time a lot more than I used to.

I don't worry about "backlog."

I focus on controlling my monthly spending and on only buying things I'm excited about.
