I want more stuff to happen in the forum. More fixes and functionalities.
lucas arts/wb games are a nice addition to the catalogue.
kinda excited for galaxy client.
the site redesign still sucks big time.
movies is a worthless addition so far.

overall: 14 gog bears outta 20
I'm ok with it, still hopping to see more old games not available anywhere else (digital) like Swat 4, Starlancer, etc. A forum upgrade would also be nice...
The good
- New releases both old and new, indie and big publishers.
- Still good promos
- Fun stuff like the Grim Fandango fan art competition, and the Toonstruck photoshop thing

The bad
- Movies still seem entirely useless and out of place
- Galaxy- don't want it, don't care for it, makes me nervous about possible DRM in the future (yes, I am somehwat paranoid in that regard, we've established that already), don't like how it was (is?) included with some games without note and installed itself without warning
- A pity about all the games removed from the catalogue

The ugly
- Site redisign is still terrible compared to the old design.

Melhelix: An upcoming client - Confused and nervous. I was supposed to be a tester, yet the Mac version never seemed to materialize (at least to my knowledge) so that left me feeling kind of confused. That was more a matter of a lack of communication (very few emails were ever sent dealing with GOG Galaxy). The nervousness stems from the (hopefully baseless) fear of going basically... Steamish.

JudasIscariot: Regarding the Mac version of the alpha Galaxy client, it's been available for some time now :)
Well that's wonderful news! I'm not surprised I missed it, I've been kind of in and out on the whole internet thing. Recovering from nearly dying will do that to you, shockingly. :P

So sweet, the one thing I was confused on has been long since remedied. Rock on, GOG!
The redesign bothers me a LOT. It just sucks to navigate the site, look at game pages, every aspect was a downgrade in my opinion. I also don't like that they expanded to movies, it annoys me more than anything and I just wish they had a sibling site for their movie nonsense. But one thing bothers me more than anything:

that they don't have the desirable, to me, versions of TIE Fighter and X-Wing. AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGHHH!!!!!!!! Makes me sick to my stomach, really. Along with that, I never played Grim Fandango (played most of the other LucasArts adventures back in the day, but my computer couldn't handle GF at the time and then I went to college and gaming changed for me), and was looking forward to it coming here and me getting it and playing it finally, and it is not a version I will buy/want to play at all. ReBastard BS.
I really like the idea behind GOG Galaxy. Hope they really take their time and do it right, personalty right now Galaxy feels like a glorified folder for you games and it should be like that.

Multiplayer is a touchy subject for some people but why miss out on the online segment of a good old game? If its through GOG's servers and entirely optional then I don't see the problem. At the end of the day the game is yours.
Well...

LucasArts/Disney arriving here was a very, very pleasant surprise. The greatest achievement for GOG.com that I have experienced as an active user.
The Galaxy client excites me a lot, especially the possibilities for multi-player. But it poses a potential thread as well, there is no denying that, so I'll wait for the actual release and form an actual opinion then.
The addition of support for Linux, being a Linux user myself, was and is great too, though the extent of that support seems still questionable to me.

There are a few things that bother me, but are little more than minor annoyances most of the time: slow patching and many, many bugs with the website. It simply feels unprofessional.

Then there are the movies and the redesign of the site... I don't care, really, not even the slightest bit.

But, there are two things I hated, one being the addition of sort-of DRM in the installers, which thankfully has been removed again, after many users here complaining. So, that one is good and done for me now.
The real bummer though is regional pricing. The single worst decision GOG.com ever made. It is unjust and arbitrarily, a violation against their own former ideal. I will never buy a game with regional pricing here and still hope, against all common reasoning, that they will change their mind some day.
Maybe obvious but it didn't happen for a LONG time - a tab in account that I can even just SEE my own GoG-mixes !! :-D

I really like GoG direction, i don't buy games on steam anymore. GoG ftw !

I am skeptic and fearful. Please, don't remove any more games, 'kay?? Oh, and please do try to break monopoly of other distributors and game equal rights on any (if and when possible) title!
I don't like their direction at all. According to this they are headed away from The Cloak Tower and right into the Beggar's Nest which is still crawling with plague victims!

And worse...what happens if they leave the map? Do they fall off the world?
Ahoy! Smooth sailing.

Based on this new turn of events, I'll have to revise my previous post and agree that they should abort the current campaign and rather play community modules instead!
