Ironically, by not supporting more platforms (such as GOG) they are limiting their income (at least a little) IMHO

Edit: I just spent $181 to get the Original 3 Homeworld games (Homeworld GOTY, Cataclysm & Homeworld 2) on Amazon.

the first of my order came in (Homeworld 2) & if my 'Puter is any indication given a chance IMHO it would an easy game to GOGify (make work on a more modern PC environment) & also it looks great for a 10+ year old title

It still makes me /facepalmdeskfloor, that they think wanting the game DRM-free (edited, forgot to type free lol) on GoG or any other site, that that must mean we are going to pirate the game.

If anyone wants to pirate the game, they`ll of already done it, they wouldn`t be asking for it to be made available for money lol.

Sticking DRM on a game prevents game piracy, as much as sticking anti-piracy warnings (that you can`t skip.....) on DVDs stops piracy of films.

If anything, DRM like Steam, Uplay & all the other shizz is the better reason to pirate games, but ah well...

I think it's more about them wanting to retain the illusion of having total control over their goods after we purchase said goods. And with GOG once the installer is on the end user's computer that illusion is a luxury they can't have.

Because they likely don't want to sell them separately from the package (they already don't do so on Steam), in order to charge more money. Also, they would want to avoid a case of the remasters being negatively-received and having people in the Steam reviews pointing to the superior originals and saying to not bother paying more for the remasters (happened with Heroes III HD with one of the top reviews pointing to GOG's Heroes III page).

first it took like 10 frigs and crap off me, then i finally managed to send in bombers to the ghost ship.... thing is indestructable, and doesnt take command of my ships anymore. just keeps repping over and over, restarted 4 times now
