Tarm: As MikeMaximus said it doesn't matter if they're good at making stories or not since the story in Homeworld is already written and done. They'd just be updating the graphics and sounds mainly.

MikeMaximus: I suppose they may have meant if Ironclad developed a Homeworld 3 eventually, but honestly I don't see how Ironclad could do worse than Gearbox in that regard.
Yeah. Though I think that Ironclad actually could make a decent Homeworld sequel if they hired good writers.

This can be taken to mean it's the developers choice to release their game on Steam exclusively, instead of a deal with Valve forcing the matter. Possibly because they're going to use steamworks for the multiplayer platform.

Selling the remaster of an old game on a digital distribution platform with the built-in audience for old games? Heavens no. This is Gearbox we’re talking about. They probably tripped on the way to the bathroom and cracked their head over the titled floor already.

It's the price I guess. Gearbox probably thinks that they can get away with a high price that stays high a long time easier on steam.

Which is a sneaky way by Valve to lock developers into distributing only through them without any special agreements. That's why I always recommend strongly against ever using Steamworks for network features. But many developers are too lazy these days.

Bah handbag!
I use internot via the library & it blocks Gearbox site for some reason, so can`t read anything there.

I`ve been wanting Homeworld for eons, but have yet to find the discs on sale anywhere, but after Gearbox got hold of the mess that was Alien: C`Marines, I refuse to give them a penny.

I may fold if it does ever come to GOG, one can but dream...

P.S. Enough with games being on Steam only, it`s losing the devs money as some of us don`t like being forced to run something to run something else we`ve already paid for :$

i sure hope this doesn't come here playing a homeworld game using on of gearbox ai's that judging from there previous games will either sit around doing nothing or defeat itself doesn't seem very fun.
