The game won't progress when i click "End Mission". How do i fix this? I'm on mission 7.

Which is weird because i never save nor load between my playthrough. Just got the game and marathon it but eh, wouldn't hurt to try. It did make sense to reload the previous mission and playthrough them again. Some old game has that weird quirk. Will try when i get a free time and see if it work.

I have the same problem, stuck on end mission of mission 15. I've tried multiple retries, going back to mission 14 and redoing the entire mission but to no avail.

Anyone else have this problem or can offer suggestions?

I love this title and would like to complete it.


*Update*

I think I FINALLY fixed it.

I used the following to change it to SW mode, then the mission completed.

"Right-click the Launch Homeworld Emergence.lnk select Properties, in the Target field change the /noswddraw parameter to /sw example:"

I could then change the mode back when the next mission loaded.

I had the same problem as bxb209 right at the same place in the game. There might be something about the end of Mission 15 that sometimes breaks.

bxb209's solution worked for me, though bizarrely only after I alt-tabbed out and then back into the game.

Just leaving this note in hope that it might help someone else out there.

I had the exact problem as bxb209 and Tannhauser. Did both things and the game continued to the next mission. Thanks!!!

Created a new shortcut and added /sw in the target filed as instructed in this thread. Then alt-tabbed out a couple of time. The screen faded to black for awhile and the a cinematic started playing. Worked fine.

Thread might get locked for necroing, but just so people know, the above link / Gearbox forums are dead and apparently that happened in July 2022. I don't know where the answer that SOLVED this topic would be found now.

That is definitely relatively new. If somebody is looking for previous HW:Emergence topics, possibly with solutions to their problems, they should check HW Remastered subforum.

Hi, looks like the issue has been solved. I experienced a similar stuck mission and was able to clear the issue thanks to this post from MrMoreDakka:

"I don't know why but it helped to change the 3D settings from default D3D to (GL) default OpenGL and then tab out of the game while in cinematic mode (mission end triggered) and back in.

Hope this would help future players that encounter the same issue. The cinematics for HW:R also seemed a bit off for mission 15, missing a few Bentusi lines. Really hope GOG would fix that.
