Funny, here I thought it was released back in 2002.

It's the film sequel name curse all over again. Rambo, Rocky...wait...i sense a sly connection
This is the a-number-one franchise I wish I could get into but just cannot. Everything about it screams up my alley, but every time I try to play it I hate it. Oh well, back to Thief and Splinter Cell.

Thief is superior anyway.

But what's bugging you about Hitman? Codename 47 is really clunky, but Silent Assassin, Contracts and Blood Money are great! They allow for a variety of play styles as well, so I'm a bit surprised you can't get any mileage out of Hitman.
Now they're free from Square ENIX, what's the chances it will come here?

I agree to an extent. Imo, Death to Spies 1 and 2 are better than Codename 47, but not of the rest of the series (Absolution never existed).

Ok. I think I only played one or two of the Hitman series. I always postpone the sequels until I've completed the previous ones (and I very rarely launch my current Hitman game), so, I actually don't know very well the series as a whole.
Hitman 2*
Great games ruined, IMHO, by the save structure. And I don't necessarily mind limited save or checkpoint systems, but in the case it just made it too frustrating.
Are we ever going to get the next game (Blood Money) in the series on GOG at least?
Excluding spinoffs and compilations, the upcoming Hitman 2 2 (not to be confused with the original Hitman 2) would be the 7th game in the series. To avoid confusion, I'll just call it Hitman Tutu from now on.
