LiquidOxygen80: Chance is hit or miss for me, which is why I'd never mentioned him. That said, the title track to Acid Rain is awesome because I love Jake One's production. I also kinda felt that Black Star was sort of a no brainer. Some good tracks in your list though! Welcome to the thread. :)
Thanks! I'll definitely be coming back here now that I've discovered it.
Didn't think I'd be back so fast, but I thought of a few more tracks that I didn't post earlier.

King Geedorah ft. Hassan Chop - I Wonder

Jay Electronica - Exhibit C

Lupe Fiasco - Mural

Earl Sweatshirt - Chum

Vince Staples - Nate

Generally not a Lupe or Earl fan, but those two songs are incredible.
Some great stuff on this (lesser / un-knowns to many no doubt).

DLT Feat. Che Fu - Chains

Juse feat. Smashproof - Ride Til I Die

Both from New Zealand.
Gather round, hip-hop thread faithful. We've lost another luminary today. For those of you that grew up in the 90s boom-bap era, the name Sean Price might mean something to you. He was half of the Boot Camp Clique group Heltah Skeltah, also known as Ruck, along with his long time partner, Rock, AKA Rockness Monstah.

They created lots of great music, along with some lowkey bonafide hits like the Fab 5 collabo, along with L'eflaur L'eshkoshka, as well as lots of hard hitting solo work.

Sean Price will be remembered for his relentless pen game, and refusal to ever dumb down his craft in order to appeal to the mass market, yet still finding success in the underground. Not only this, he was a genuinely nice guy and loved his fans.

Rest In Peace, all too soon, Sean P. :(

Boom Bye Yeah

Bar-Barian

Onion Head

Haraam

Operation Lockdown

I Ain't Havin' That

No prob, I'll probably be adding more as I think of them, as he worked with many many solid artists over the years. R.A. The Rugged Man, Czarface, Redman, was close friends with 2Pac, KRS-One, Buckshot, Black Milk, Smif-n-Wessun, Guilty Simpson, CunninLynguists, Wu-Tang, Ruste Juxx, Talib Kweli, La Coka Nostra, Jedi Mind Tricks, Onyx, Apollo Brown, Reks, Bun B, Styles P, Murda Mook, and had more coming out.

His last three albums were great. Monkey Barz, Jesus Price Supastar and Mic Tyson.

Not to mention a lot of solid efforts as part of both Heltah Skeltah and Random Axe.

Magnum Force
The Chosen Few
The Last Stand
Casualties of War

Wow, that is damn shocking. An overall respected, outstandingly talented underground legend with a great legacy who never sold out himself and his music. He did a ton of collabos with everybody and anybody, also quite a lot of international collabos. Not for fame and money, just for the love of it. He'll be missed greatly. :(

Instead of posting pieces of his musical output let me conclude with something to smile about: Sean Price Plays Tennis
Yeah, RIP Sean Price. If nobody's seen it, MF DOOM did a classy tribute video.

Also, really been loving Vince Staples' Summertime '06 recently. It's rare for me to dig a rap album 100% end to end, but that was the case here.
Sadistik's new EP with Kno "Phantom Limbs" is fucking dope.

That is one hard track. Can't understand a word, but it doesn't matter. Very nice.

that entire album can be a slice of bilingual bafflement - but worth every bloody minute!
