I loved the Edna and Harvey games! Try them out.

Chains of Satinav and Memoria are among my very favourite point and clicks of all time. Superb games. Beatiful graphics, great stories, good puzzle design. Just perfect, especially Chains.

Edna & Harvey games are also very good. Funny, with original characters and creative ideas and lots of great dark humor.

Deponia gets better with every game, and I hope we'll see a fourth one some day. It's a great setting, it would be a pity to never visit it again.

Night of the Rabbit is a mixed bag- it looks fantastic, the world and the characters are interesting and it just feels exactly like the kind of fantasy fable I love. However, it also feels like either some of the story was cut, or there is/was a sequel planned (I hope it gets made) because some plot threads are not resolved, and the ending is very much a sequel bait.


Also, if you like this kind of games you'll probably also enjoy Ben There, Dan That!, Broken Age and the Sam & Max games.

Even if they are just the publisher of the game, I was positively surprised by Randal's Monday. Here's the short review I wrote about it:

"I'm very positively surprised by this game. I've read several reviews that said that the game isn't funny and that the main character is completely unlikeable. But I had a great fun with Randal's Monday. Almost every scene is a reminiscene to a movie, computer game or comic book and I had to laugh out loud many times, because of the funny dialogues and bizarre situations. And Randal isn't unlikeable at all. He might be kleptomaniac sociopath (isn't every adventure game character one?) and he does awful things to his friends, but he regrets his deeds and tries hard to make everything right again. For me he's much more likeable than Rufus from the Deponia games (who is just a narcisstic asshole).

Game isn't perfect though. The last chapter was a little too long for my taste. I've also encountered a bug where no dialogue options where available and I had to reload (it happened twice). And while the voice acting is very good, there is a problem with the speech volume (which varies a lot).

Puzzle design is good most of the times, but I still had to use the internal hint system (a walkthrough that only reveals a little bit when you click on it) several times, because I've missed a certain item or had no idea what to do next. And even if I did so, it took me about 15 hours to complete this game (which I consider quite long for a modern adventure game).

All in all this is my new favourite Daedalic game and I can recommend it to everybody who likes geek/nerd humor."

Unfortunately, I've only played two Daedalic games: Chains of Satinav, which I loved; and Edna & Harvey - The Breakout, which I really hated.

Do note that Simon the Sorcerer I & II, The Legend of Kyrandia & Normality all appeared as "daily deals" in the current Fall Sale, each with a 75% discount, so if you're interested, there's a chance that you might be able to pick them up, should they return to the sale. Allright, so here's a couple I haven't seen mentioned yet and are available in GOG.

Tales of the Borderlands has been critically praised for its humor. Telltale adventures have a much less puzzley style of play though, not sure what you'll think of it.

And in a more classic point n click direction you'll probably appreciate anything in the Sam n Max series.

Come to think of it, and with you being new. Did you notice Secret of Monkey island itself is on sale here?

Chains of Satinav and Memoria are probably their best work story wise.

I would recommend The Whispered World for art style. It's probably their best looking game

I Would personnally recommend you to try all of them if you're addicted to point & click like me, they're all good games.
Besides Gog will certainly put the Daedalic Bundle back, containing all of them for -85% on the last Day Sale =)

If you like Deponia you should also like Runaway & Pendulo Studios games as well !

There is a LOT more point & click games that are "must play" :

Black Mirror, which is certainly my favorite Point & Click of all time ( The first one is pretty frustrating in it's mechanics and gameplay and some puzzles are nonsense so forget it, but 2 & 3 are story, music and atmosphere jewels, really !!!!!!!!!!)
Broken Sword which is my second favorite. The First one is a classic

I was almost "BlackMirror4Ever" after 2 or 3 hours too.
You can fall in love with a game after the first 30 minutes if the atmosphere suits you :)

Actually Enter Sandman is far from being metallica's best composition huhuh !
