Where did you see such an offer for a free Call To Power 2 download based on sending in a photo of your original CD? I don't know if GOG has ever done that before.

Assuming you're for real and that I am understanding you correctly, it doesn't work like that. If you want a digital copy of the game, you'll have to buy it.

They actually did do that for The Witcher 1 at a point. No idea about any other game though.

Actually they did do it with a couple of games, I got MOO3 via my cd key when that offer was on. It's only been 2 or 3 games however and only for limited time.

You have to send the original CD to them, not just a picture. How else did you think they can transform it into the digital version that you can download from them?

Wow. All the games I bought again even though I owned the originals or a Steam version before they came here... I don't know where anyone would get the idea that you can get a free download for a game just because you bought the physical media.

That being said, please understand that the staff generally does not read the forum. Most (if not all) the responses you'll get here will be from random users. If you want to contact GOG themselves, send an email to support.

And here's the reason, I don't own Call to Power 2 yet I can easily send an image of the CD and it's case. All I had to do was search for it, simply having an image of it doesn't mean I own it.

Since we on the subject, how is Call to Power 2?

Does it have a tutorial? Steep learning curve?

...Dude, it's like 6 bucks. Consider the compatibility patches and digital ownership to be the price of admission. I've owned physical copies of games that are on GOG and not once did I ask for a free copy, because they were all cheaper than the retail copy.
