Since the support bot is useless to get any help, maybe it will be easier to simply post it here.

I received an update notice today for Spacechem, version 1016_hotfix_(40617). The offline installer for this version is broken, raising an error 404 when attempting to download setup_spacechem_1016_hotfix_(40617).exe.

Any help would be appreciated.

Give it a little time. I experience the same issue, but my experience with GOG in general also tells me that simply waiting a few minutes (up to several hours) will solve the "problem".

GOG's new CDN is already creaking at every step, much like the forum, it seems...

The CDN of GOG is broken for weeks. I often have to re-download the same file 3~4 times before its md5sum matched with the .xml.

At least not, if we go by the name:

Old version: 1_(18419)
New version: 1016_hotfix_(40616)

Hmm, must be a Windows update of some kind...the Mac version has been 1016_hotfix_40620 for almost 2 years now, and there's no indication anywhere that has changelogs (i.e. Steam) that anything actually changed.

Then maybe the installer changed, or maybe it was a change in runtime library.

Or maybe they are trying to make games work on ever-changing-windows-breaking-on-every-update thing...
