So I have the HOMM V Bundle I bought some time ago, and have decided to install it on my gaming pc. As it's a bundle, it also comes with the expansions Hammers of Fate, and Tribes of the East. I was expecting to find everything in one game slot on "My Collection" page, but I am finding to separate game folders, with two different full game exe's for the two different expansions. Additionally, each folder's exe seems to be a full game installation, as opposed to just a DLC/expansion content. ie.: the Heroes V with Hammers of Fate is about 2.3 gb, and in the other game folder for Tribes of the East, the exe is 2.1 gb, and each of those folders also contain a bunch of the usual goodies as well..manuals, ect.

So my question is, what gives? Are these actually two separate games? If I download and install both of these, will I have two separate start up exe's on my desktop for two separate games, or does the Tribes of the East folder install over the first Hammers of Fate install, as one game with both expansions installed in the same game?

Thanks for anyone who can clear this up...thanks in advance!

U r wellcum.

Anyways, I haven't played HOMM V yet (I am still playing HOMM I, still stuck at one point because I am about to lose a castle I don't want to lose, dammit), but according to Mobygames.com, Tribes of the East is a stand-alone expansion.

That'd explain why it has a separate installer and entry in the library, I guess. So if I were you, you'd be me still playing HOMM I, while I'd be playing first HOMM V + Hammers of Fate, and after that Tribes of the East. Just so that I'd play them in order.

Cool man, thanks for the info. Makes sense now I guess. Didn't really notice anywhere it stated that is was a stand-alone expansion, like I have noticed with other games I own. Thanks again timppu I am actually playing through XCOM 2 for the first time, and planning on starting up HOMM V now as well...because why not? I lost my job like most ppl here in the N.Y. area, and I need a little escape from reality. Take care brother \m/
