added Fallout 3 & Skyrim to the wiki.

I don't own a lot of the games, so please post hud free screenshots or link to some if you can.

IronArcturus: If GOG ever gets F.E.A.R. 2, I really hope the hud can be disabled in that one. It was really annoying.

hudfreegamer: Check the wiki. The solution is already there.
Is there a solution for a partial-hud? Maybe where it just shows ammo amount instead the curvy lines all over?

I don't know what you mean. I don't have the game and haven't tested it, That's the only hud mod I've found for Fear 2.

I got it here:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3193205

He mentions an alternate version of the d3d9.dll at the bottom. Maybe that will work better. As far as I can tell though, that mod removes everything. The mod does include a text file in the Shaderoverride/vertexshaders directory. Maybe changing some values there will have an effect.

I have no way to test it without the game. If you know of some place I can buy it drm free, I will though.
Only have New Vegas installed right now.
The opacity thing doesn't seem to work well with Darnified UI but with the vanilla HUD that shouldn't happen. Here's one HUD free with a little help from oHUD.
(It's hardly any different from Fallout 3 in that regard.)

Got one screenshot from Dishonored but I'm pretty sure the crosshair is still on in that one (albeit not visible) and it's not in combat so it doesn't show that you can get rid of the HUD altogether instead of having it appear when needed. Not sure how to go about finding screenshots online that are free to be linked. o.o

skeletonbow: I want more hud elements, preferably programmable ones. 30" displays rock!

tinyE: Here.
LOL, holy crap that's insane! :)
Deus Ex screenshot. I can't seem to get the "one button to disable them all" solution from that forum post to work and obviously the comm-link display thing is still there. I'd wager there's a command to get rid of that (and brackets around highlighted objects) but I haven't found anything.

Nvm. Kentie's Launcher seems to add its own ini files and I was editing the wrong one, assigning a single button works as described.

Looks like GOG just added Fear 2 with the expansion.

I'll buy it and let you know.

Thanks. I'll add the screenshot to the wiki.

FEAR 2 really is a cool game! It's great that it's now a new addition to GOG! But I wonder if there is a way to get rid of that "frame" HUD that's completely unnecessary. The frame hud can be removed in the game "Outcast," but I don't know if there is a way to do that with FEAR 2. But I still would like to see the weapon/ammo/health indicators in that game.
Bioshock the 1st.
You can bind the commands HideHUD and ShowHUD to keys by editing the DefUser_int.ini in the "Release" folder. I'm not sure which categories need the command edited though, I've found an insane amount of key bindings in that file. :<
(I didn't break anything by just putting them everywhere, though.)

It seems sensible to assign ShowHUD as well as HideHUD since the latter appears to hide absolutely everything, including the (esc) menu. o.0

If I had a wiki, I wouldn't let anyone else touch it.

Maybe it's for easier content control and general consistency?

I've been experimenting with that. So far, removing it also removes the armor and health bars. I'm trying to get some help on another forum learning shader assembly language so I can figure it out.

I suggest posting it here to make it easier for people. Wikia can be difficult to use. If you want to try though, go for it. If you have problems with formatting, etc, don't worry. I'll go back and fix them.

Recently added Fear 2, Deus Ex, Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Borderlands.

FO3's DarnUI is especially nice. I dig that plus a few special tweaks I've added to mine with ammo weight besides =D
I like fear 3, but only for the end credits.

I think I actually might. And no worries, I actually have a decent amount of experience with Wikia and definitely won't mess things up.
