ICDeadThings: Interesting, - thanks.
You're welcome.

Btw: I see your rep is 6.
Did you try to post links in your thread?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe under a rep of 10(?) you're not allowed to post links.
Maybe that hindered the acceptance of your thread? (just an idea)

No, no link, but there was a slash in there; so maybe that was it. - I am not sure that I need to post, now, because I was giving Gog some grief over their flash promotions being posted at 03:10 in the morning (GMT) and being no longer available by the time us British have returned from work or our studies; but my email aggro seems to have produced results and the promotion that I missed has suddenlly re-appeared in my wishlist, and the item in question is definitely a contender (and suggestion) for this list: Dragons Age Origins: Ultimate Edition ...but grab it now at under £4!

Evil Genius is on GoG - not an RPG - but it's about being evil and building things, to some extent.

nightcraw1er.488: Pillars was dull, pretty boring most of the time, tried it twice.
What's this now?! How did you find the first one boring?! I am at a loss! :D

(Sadly the second one was not as good as the first; despite being able to sail around and be like a pirate! - Which I love, normally)... Just felt very disconnected, unlike the first one.

Another shoutout for Evil Genius. Amazing game.

Other than that, Kenshi comes to mind, but unfortunately I can't vouch for it. Haven't tried it out myself yet, but it looks and sounds very interesting.

Also worth a mention is Cataclysm : Dark Days Ahead, an excellent post apocalyptic survival game where it can take several ingame years to build your base / mobile death fortress. It's quite complex, still actively being worked on and there is a very active reddit community that's always eager to help new players get into the game. Here's a trailer that I think is pretty representative : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GurxnNDl1AU

Not played the second. The first was just dull, nothing specific, I mean graphically it was ok, it worked, no real bugs, but I just wasn't interesting. At no point did I feel, wow this is great, I wonder what the story will throw at me next. In fact first time through I gave up 3/4 of the way through to play something else, and recently I reinstalled and didn't get at all before moving on. I am hoping that pathfinder will be more interesting.
