I'm in the mood for a long rpg that i can explore the world with a party, or something where I build a base and it takes awhile to build up everything.

I also kinda want to be evil or just control undead but that might be a whole other topic..

I'm sick right now, and just looking for something to take my mind off of the pain.

I've never played ice wind dale, its kinda on my list, but not sure if something is better

Thanks
anything have any ideas?
Overlord?
Pillars of eternity?
i'm just not sure, i looked up those games and i feel there is something out there alittle better for what my mood is craving
Better than the first Pillars of Eternity? I can scarcely believe it. If you're feeling "evil" - Pillars of Eternity certainly has that option to be a callous son of a.... and it's a great, in-depth game that is odd at first - but it will pull you in. Pillars of Eternity (the first one) certainly gets my vote.

Regardless, I hope your health improves.
wonderful, well I will check out pillars asap, thank you very much, i feel better already :)

Pillars was dull, pretty boring most of the time, tried it twice. There is pathfinder kingmaker, which hasn't been released yet, that should cover what you want but will have to wait a bit for it.
Neverwinter nights 2 also seem to fit the bill, with some base building, but the main campaign isn't that great. Mask of the betrayer is the campaign to play.
For real Evil, I recommend you Mask of the Betrayer, one of the expansions for Neverwinter Nights 2. One of the very few games with a truly evil possible outcome, and one that does not penalize you in any way.
No exploration or bases, though.

Another suggestion is Serpent in the Staglands, a very good game with plenty of exploration and no hand holding, you have to figure out everything by yourself (with the aid of up to 4 companions).
The game is really good, but the ending is tremendously bugged, be warned.

Isn't Tyranny (precisely by the makers of Pillars of Eternity) specifically about being Evil ?
Just another hour or so to the humble monthly, but Tales of R-something is supposed to be an antihero long rpg with a party.
Fallout 1 or 2?

How about the Might and Magic series?
Hundreds of hours of RPGs, in which you explore a world with your party:

Grim Dawn, with Ashes of Malmouth expansion. BTW, off-topic maybe, but why is it no longer possible to post new topics on the General Discussion forum ...or has the server gone the same way as that for Dragon's Dogma (another recommendation)?

Interesting, - thanks. - I have just tried to post (several times) and using a combination of two VPNs, plus no VPN, and was unable to post regardless. No matter, - thanks for confirming that some of us, at least, are still able to (without having to hijack existing posts).
