Hi there,

I have just discovered this site so i am not used to it,
I have downloaded a game i used to play a decade ago, that is Blitzkrieg2. There are two files to download. One small exe file and a big (2go) BIN file.
As i understand Bin files have to be mounted to a virtual driver like POWER ISO.
But when i try to mount it, it says that the format of the file is not supported.

Has anyone had this problem?
Is there an easy solution?
I am on windows 7

Thanks for eventual help

No need to mount anything, just run the executable (.exe file).

edit: make sure both files (.exe and .bin) are in the same folder

Download both .exe and .bin files and run .exe file. That's all.
Download them both. The BIN is the bulk of the file, the exe is the installer. When they're both downloaded just double click the .exe :)

Edit: Ninja'd!

Thank you all for your fast reactions. I appreciate.
I did download both file which are in my downloads. But when i quick on the exe file, after asking me to chose a language it ask me to specify the location of "part 1" and to click OK...but the browser cannot find it. Strangely it does not appear or cannot be opened (i created a special files on my desktop for it). I concluded it was because it was a bin file.

Anyway, something is wrong here...

Where did you download them to, and how did you download them?
This issue seems to be popping up a bit frequently lately.

We had a couple of threads with similar issues during the past few days. You might want to check out this thread, especially post #15; perhaps you've run into the same problem.

Well, through the website using the download button... It is the automatic download, and yes it takes hours to download those 2 Go.
I have download smaller games from GOG without any issues.
Could there be a problem?

If you just used the browser download, the bin file might be corrupted, but that's just one possible thing. Try putting the exe and the bin together in a folder in Documents and then try running the exe

Thank you very much for you help.
I am installing the GOG installer and will give it a try downloading the two files in one fils in Documents, and see how it turns out.

Thanks again for your help.

Okay when you're in your game library click on the game you want to download. From there click "More". Then click "GOG Downloader Links". That'll go to a new page. Once there find your operating system and click where it says the game's name and "-installer". It will then open a small window basically saying you'll need to use GOG Downloader to download it blah blah blah. Click "Open Link". It will then open the GOG Downloader, you'll sign into it and then the download will start. That single download contains everything you'll need to install the game :)

No problem! By the way, the GOG Downloader will put the installer files into a new folder called "GOG .com Downloads" in Documents.

OK seems to work out fine with the downloader.

Again thanks a lot to all for your help.
