I just tried to buy The Settlers: Rise of An Empire Gold Edition, but when I confirmed the order on Paypal nothing happened. It kicked me back to the gog.com cart so I tried to pay again. After confirming once more, it kicked me back again. It is an endless cycle. What do I do?

So...did you actually wait?
Why do I keep reading and hearing about problems with PayPal? Does not make me want an account with them.

Well, sometimes Paypal takes the occasional extra step and pauses a transfer to check over details.

Other times, people seem to forget that banks and places of the nature have hours and take holidays.

And sometimes it just straight up fails sometimes.

All I can say is that I've never had any issues with it, paying on GOG or anywhere else.

I've read that PayPal has to follow more regulations in the EU than everywhere else in the world.

I can remember two slight payment hiccups: A problem with the communication between GOG and PayPal that led to a delay and one double billing by HumbleBundle that was fixed very quickly.

PayPal is fine, a lot of the issues are usually caused by people's browser extensions or blocking scripts.
I've been using it for 15 years with hardly any issues but once here on GOG it took me to the Paypal payment, I paid but then didn't return me back to GOG and no game in my library. I had to contact support and they fixed the issue in no time.
