Hey guys, I'm new to the forum so thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a 30 year old bloke who has played games for over 20 years, originally from Liverpool (hence the name) but live down south now. I'm a newly started Youtuber and stumbled across this site cos there was a load of old PC games I wanted to play on my channel. So I go by the name of ScouseMouse but my real name's Paul

If you wanna see my channel you can search ScouseMouse and I'm at the top (with the same avatar as here)

I do 2 things on the channel mostly... lets plays of old games from things like NES, SNES, N64, PC all sorts and my series that will be running for the forseeable called Tricky Trials where I ask viewers to challenge me to complete the hardest parts of games and I do it on the channel. So it could be a tough boss like Emerald Weapon from FF7 or a tricky level like Turbo Tunnel from Battletoads.
Welcome to GOG! Do you always cook your scouse with mice in them? ;-) By the way, I am not averse to eating scouse myself.

It is a food dish, a stew. Tasty and simple to make.

I'm in!

And if prepared correctly, I'd eat a mouse scouse. It would have to properly cleaned and cooked, not whole like in "Never Cry Wolf".
ScouseMouse ? I'm pretty sure that I've seen your channel before.. I'm going to check it out.

ps: Welcome! ^^

edit: Ringo's star album. LoL. That's why! sorry. Well. Good luck with ur project. This is your channel, right?

It's an endangered species that lives on the wrong side of the M6.

Cockney is to London, as Brummie is to Birmingham, as Taffy is to Wales, as Geordie is to Newcastle as Scouse is to Liverpool, and so on...

Checked your channel, Nice little channel, hope it will grow in the future, as it looks like you got quality content there.
Have you considered creating reviews of old games?? That would be nice.

It is a food dish like a stew, but it's also a way of referring to people who are from Liverpool (I dunno if the stew was 'invented' in Liverpool too)

Thanks, and yes that is my channel :)

Yeah it was only a couple of days ago that someone pointed out that ScouseMouse was apparently some cartoon character in the Liverpool Echo about 25+ years ago. I hope that fact isn't gonna cause me any problems in the future if I was lucky enough to make it big. Any idea if it would? Copyright and all that?

Thanks, the Tricky Trials deffo seems to be getting a lot more interest from viewers.

On the Lets Play front I've got a few PC classics lined up that I got from here, some really old ones that I played as a kid... Lands of Lore, Dungeon Keeper, Beneath A Steel Sky to name a few. I also really wanna see if I can manage to get a working N64 set up so I can play Goldeneye, absolutely loved that as a kid.

On the Tricky Trials front, I've got a list of suggestions from people as long as my arm but I'm still asking people send more and more because I do get through them fairly quick cos they're generally short videos. I've been trying to beat Mike Tyson on Punch Out for about 2 weeks with no success lol, couple of Crash Bandicoot levels, a boss from Streets of Rage, a ton of Dark Souls related requests... I wanna do 2 videos, one beating Emerald weapon and one beating Ruby weapon in FF7 but that will require me starting the game again and putting in tonsss of hours to get to the point where I could beat them.

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked the channel. I would have posted a link but it didn't seem to be letting me so had to describe how to find me instead lol.

I'm not sure, I hadn't thought about doing reviews actually, it's something I might consider. I'd imagine though people are predominately interested in reviews of the brand new releases though rather than the oldies?

You need 10 reputation points to post links. There is some sort of workaround, forum veterans might know, I am new on GOG myself.

I am interested in reviews of old games, and I guess many others will be too. And you can make them a little personal observation style rather than professional "journalistic" review. :)

BTW did you buy the dictionary? :p

Welcome to the Jungle. Or...the slightly more civilized tribal forest of no DRM. I guess it's hard to hear the Liverpool side of you since I've spent most of my time here in the US.
