It's getting sickening to see this thread constantly on the first page. The game fucking sucks, let it go people. Let it pass naturally to the sea of forgotten games, where it belongs.

Just because a game makes you butt hurt, doesn't mean it sucks. I know that is what your feelings are telling you but you should think with your brain.

Gonchi: I think either interpretation is valid.

Looking back, LeonardoCornejo did not claim 4100 were a majority of GOG users (if he did, I can't find it, link me?), that's actually something you said and attributed to him, he also didn't bring up the vocal minority/silent majority point, that was SirPrimalform. Basically, it seems these last two pages have been mostly arguing about a point LeonardoCornejo never actually made. Go figure, no wonder this thread won't die.

I think its just a fundamental misunderstanding of what is meant by a "vocal minority". Sure they may be the majority of people who are making noise (hence the vocal part) but they are a minority of all people. I think LeonardoCornejo's misunderstanding of what a vocal minority is, is made clear in his post immediately below yours. Clearly a "vocal minority" and what LeonardoCornejo describes as a "silent majority" are not mutually exclusive.

p.s. I don't think this is arguing, just discussing. Nothing wrong with discussing.
Based on the post you linked earlier (http://www.gog.com/forum/general/hatred_game/post2644), to me it looked like he was comparing the votes Hatred and Her Story received in the wishlist to show there's a larger audience on GOG interested in Hatred and other games like it (controversial games, I'm supposing, rather than twin stick shooters).

Also;

"majority among those that cared enough to vote one way or the other, minority among the total, indifferent user-base"

These are quotes from you, me and LeonardoCornejo respectively. Aren't we saying the same thing slightly differently?

I'm not really sure there is a misunderstanding. He feels the silent majority lean more towards his vocal minority than the opposing vocal minority.

Umm, excuse me? You think I wrote that because I dislike the themes or something? No, I actually played and finished the game: and it fucking sucks. It - is - a - bad - game. Over the top violence can't or won't automatically fix that. Could you maybe start thinking with your brain now, too?

Guess what, DickProject. Just because you didn't find it enjoyable doesn't mean the game sucks. You do know that your tastes are yours alone and it all comes down to tastes unless we are talking about the technical side of the game.

Hate to bump this useless thread just because I want to answer you, but yeah, that's pretty much what I'm sensing too.

I guess that guy's one of those "my opinions are the only truth and everyone who disagrees is wrong, thus stupid" sort of fellas. You know, monkey, that you're in the minority here, right? The facts speak for themselves (the huge drop in players as evidenced before, plus a Metascore of 43 and a User Score of 4.7). I really mean it, once past the first level it's over, you've seen everything there is to see. Why do you feel the need to defend this game so much? Furthermore, why can't you have people have different opinions without immediately having to personally attack them? I didn't call you names or say anything to you, I simply said the game sucks and all the sudden you act like I had dropped a shit on your great grandparents' grave or something. "DickProject"... yeah, very mature. Way to instantly lose all your credibility in an argument.

How does it come many people are asking for visual novels, but none is posting on a nearly daily basis or accusing Gog, or 'SJW', or snake-headed aliens of censorship?

Also, I too would like to know why Monkey dislikes TinyE so overtly.
