YaTEdiGo: 1) yes, I agree, but is an inconsistent decision compared with sell other similar games. But is their decision.
2) I don´t agree, I think the game looks like Postal from the very beginning. Nothing more nothing less. (And it is better)
3) Maybe.
4) Not sure about what you meant.
5) Yes

Ophelium: For the sake of clarification:

1) If the decision is inconsistent because of the content, then it's probably not the reason GOG rejected it. A lot of people (not just game review sites) have said it's buggy. I am 99% sure GOG didn't release it is because of lack of polish. Yes, there are games that are rough around the edges already on here, but they either fall under one of two categories: a) they're old/classic, or b) GOG is assured that there will be continued support for the game (i.e. patches). Since the dev said they would close down if Hatred didn't sell well, it's difficult to be sure that there would be fixes for the game (at the point the decision was made).

4) I watched one of Anita's videos and thought "Well, that's something to think about". Apparently, she has a lot more which are about the same old shit every time. If people keep saying the same thing everyday without adding to the argument, it just gets old and people lose interest. At worst, it becomes annoying and people get angry.
1) Well seen in that way, ok. About the game is not that is buggy, it is that is really bad optimized. Anyway I played it around just 1 hour. The second level becomes totally unplayable in my laptop.

2) Anita is clearly someone making money, if I didn´t had this clear enough before, after her last "scratchs" for polemics, mostly with Mad Max and The Witcher 3 "cunt" issue vs the "I curated Life´s strange" when in both games bad guys call "bitch" the "girl" I got it even more clearly that she doesn´t like games at all, either play them, as she recognized in one of her videos from time ago, and she is definitively a con artist, with a good mind to piss off some assholes and create an opposite force to feed her business.

By the way I would love to see Life´s Strange on GOG.com

Of the 2553 comments here, how many people have actually played the game?

Curiosity got the better of me and I got the game. And good gaaaaaaaaaaawwwwd, it's boring! Trust me, goggers aren't missing out on much. Granted, I only played the first two levels, but I doubt it's going to get any better. There was one nice "Holy shit!" moment when I blew up someone's living room with a grenade, but that's when the novelty wore off. You've already seen the cool gore in the trailer.

If you crave for a bit of the old ultra-violence, try "Soldier Of Fortune", "Manhunt" or "The Punisher". Each of these is on par with Hatred's level of violence (if not worse), but unlike Hatred, they're actually fun to play.

I have always wanted to play Manhunt. Byt the way. I am glad finaly someone pointed out something that would lead to actual progress on the matter at hand. Someone who played the game expressed an opinion on it.
Bottom line, whether the game is worth buying or not is irrelevant. Denying the consumer the ability to buy it is ridiculous.

Most reasons fall flat because there are worse games on the rosters in terms of violence or quality. There really isn't any legit reason other then someone in the company or investors demanding it shouldn't be carried purely because of it's rep. And that it flat out wrong. It's judgement based on the opinions of moralistic idiots (largely non-gamers), castrating the creator in the process.

No one is denying your right to buy, it's on Steam, humble and for as long as it's still going Desura. Your just losing a option big fucking whoop. If you want something that badly you buy it where it's available if not then your really don't want the damn thing as much as you thought.

1. It's not on Humble.
2. Desura is on very shaky legs financially. And it's the only non-DRM platform for the game.
3. Steam is a DRM platform, monopoly, and general horrible company that should be supported by absolutely no one.

Does it really sound right to you that a game should only be stocked by two stores, with others not carrying it because of goddamn public opinion? How exactly is GOG going to grow and survive if they mandate a limit, one already bypassed by their existing roster?
People can't help but to drag this thread out of its shallow grave and kick it with the same damn argument that's been going around for 128 pages. And Elvis is with the aliens, there were two shooters and Walt Disney is frozen under the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Am I crazy or did the guy who just posted "whether the game is worth buying or not is irrelevant" also have "Quality>Names" posted under his login? XD

I'm trying not to take sides in this argument as I really don't care about the game and I could give a shit who does or doesn't sell it, but the people chewing out GOG about this aren't doing themselves any favors. If talking out of your ass was an Olympic event, half of these people would would be on a box of Wheaties. :P

I have yet to see the rioters because Wal-Mart doesn't carry Playboy magazines. Why is this any different?

You don't know the reason it's not stocked, I don't know the reason, none of us know the reason. Can we gently return this thread to the underworld?

actually yes, it does sound right to me. There are many times where a store won't carry something but another does.

As for growth, I highly doubt something like hatred is really going to help GOG continue it's growth. Hard to believe I know but it's true and really if anyone knows what is working for them or not, it's GOG themselves and not a bunch of random people slamming away at their keyboard with no access to anything outside of their own personal wants and desires, since GOG have access to these things called sales data, site metrics and all that lovely stuff thus helping them make decisions on what is working and what is not.

Well in fairness, that's why I refuse to shop at Wal-Mart.

If you can tell me how to get through life without shopping at Wal-Mart, I really want to know...even though I work at one.

I was joking. :P I run a B&B in the middle of nowhere. Without Wal-Mart I'd go under in ten minutes.
