Got it on Steam.
The pros: Fucking awesome destruction in this game, it's really thrilling watching walls and cover chip away, or explosives takes down a whole fucking house with bodies flying all over. The aesthetic and soundtrack create a cold and detached atmosphere, and the maps are pretty decently sized allowing you to explore and shoot/stab/blow up who and what you please. The cops are not pushovers and they're really fun to fight, and civilians will pick up guns sometimes and try to fight back. I also stumbled upon some gangsters doing a weapon trade or something and got into a fire fight with them. You have to think about how to approach most fights because you go down quickly.
Also, this game has some humor in it, the things the Antagonist says are hilariously bad, the TV screens show Anonymous, the final level's computer code made me laugh out loud. The metal head train driver... it's not taking itself that seriously. I don't think this game ever wanted to spread a message, and is that a bad thing now?
The cons: Civilians are basically your medkits, since you have to execute them to get health back. I don't like this system because its very easy to kill civilians instead of wounding them, and when you're in a firefight getting low on health it forces you to run over all these dead bodies just for that one you can execute. It just feels like a shoddy health system. Medkits or even regen health would have been better than this current system.
The aiming feels "gummy", they need to work on making it feel more fluid, its somewhat hard to aim and when you throw a grenade you have no idea where it will go, so its extremely easy to bounce a grenade on a wall and have it come back at your face.
The car controls are a bit meh but I can live with it. What I DON'T like is how WEAK cars are, within seconds the things blow up, and that's a fucking shame because there is so much joy in ramming a car THROUGH SOMEONE'S HOUSE. Also, if a driving car even touches you, you're dead.
Which brings me to my final major complaint, the respawn system. It sucks. It just feels like it punishes the player. You have a main objective, but you also have side objectives. If you complete these side objectives you get a respawn point. There's usually three on a map. After you use them up, if you die you have to start the whole level over again. It's garbage. I really hate it. I think a better system would have been to just autosave after each side objective was complete.
Other than that, there are some bugs and glitches they need to hammer out, and they need to better optimize their game, since I get below 30FPS usually, but the devs said they are working on that, as well as releasing free DLC if this sells well.
