tinyE: Okay well I'm not human, but then I'm sort of cool with that. :P
If you want to be technical about it if your of European and east asian decent your technically part Neanderthal/cave man which isn't modern man's direct ancestor(in a evolutionary sense) but a sister species that sprung from the same common ancestor and mainly were relegated to European and east asian regions of the world while modern man originated in Africa. So you can always claim that your not "Human" as we see it which is the only known surviving Human species Homo Sapiens(there were others at one point but they died out and it's believed Homo Sapiens almost did as well) hence why Humans of European and east asian decent or European and east asian ancestry often have a small amount of Neanderthal DNA in their DNA sequence that is not found in Humans of full African decent.

So in a sense you can probably say you are really just of neanderthal decent who's ancestors interbred with humans.

StorkV88: So I just played Hatred for 30 minutes and this is my... opinion on it:

It's actually better than I expected, gives you the feeling of being in a horror movie but you're the ''monster''. It's actually a interesting conflicting perspective.

LeonardoCornejo: Hey, that sounds like a grat idea for a horror game. You are the monster.

And I am not using sarcasm. It could be a great selling point.

It's not unusual.

That sounds good.

Yeah, that sounds like a totally novel concept. Replenish health by killing civilians, sooo new and edgy.

*cough* Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (1996) *cough*

Anyone with an older example?

It's not unusual.
But it is rarely seen in the horror genre with notable exceptions and often in multiplayer. Imagine being the unthinkable horror pursuing the lone unarmed middle aged man in a bizare building, that is not common.

The problem is, gameplay-wise it's not easy to make it a challenge.

That would need a story, though

Of course, and that is the funniest part of its inception. Maybe right now we are just talking about it. But someday, someone will make it happen and if it is well done it will be something great.

As Nipoti pointed, it requires a good story. Fun gameplay and good story are the core elements of any good game. Achieve one and the game is decent, achieve both and the game is good, achieve none and the game is a complete waste of money.

and to be on topic - according to many reviews Hatred is lacking both... which is a much more likely explanation why gOg turned it down than "SJW's and Phil Fish told them to!!!"

LeonardoCornejo: We talk about real threats, not about fake ones such as rape culture, toxic masculinity, violence induced by video games, and other claims made by the likes of Sarkeesian and Thompson.
Sure, real threats like Phil Fish endangering freedom of speech by ordering GOG not to sell a mediocre video game.

I absolutely get your point!
