Atticusmj: I'm just tired 29 year old man grew up playing games has job keeps himself for most part
Car payed off and do some random videos on youtube

Just sick the whole "games" are evil or teach this or that or are sexist and so on
Its endlessly stupid news that heard my whole life yes Hatred is only one game but I love games and feel all games even if I don't like them have the right to be something

I fell out PC gaming around when downloads and online only were becoming big and only got back into PC games when I came across GOG and whole DRM-free market

Ya its on steam but I dislike drm I can't make a hard copy and put that on my shelf with others
and due ERSB rated it AO it will most likely never have boxed copy of it unless something like the Indie box did it

GOG is a store I really like and want to be big in online game stores
But I don't want it to turn games down

Yes GOG has right turn it down don't get me wrong but for me at least "we can't" doesn't tell me anything about why
If the law was holding there hands behind there backs saying they be thrown in jail for it? Ya I could understand that but just makes me want cry if there doing it for sole point of retarded hate the game has gotten just due you kill ppl in the game

I care about GOG as place for games and in last year I know of about 11 games they turn away
And that just makes me sad

Sorry for long wall post but it really does make me sad see games be turned down that wanted to join the DRM-free world and not just be only on steam's drm
Look, I know and get you wanted the game here but don't wish that GOG would never reject games. I used to hear people say the same thing about Steam because Steam used to reject alot of games for seemingly no good reason and now Steam has opened the gates and people, alot of them the same ones who bitched that Steam shouldn't be so picky or shouldn't reject games at all are now calling for it to be curated again. Why? because it's flooded with total shit, now you got crap like Day one Garry's incident], Temper Tantrum, Slaughtering Grounds,[Air Control , Ramayana flooding the store along with actual good games which proves the old expression of "be careful what you wish for, you just may get it"

Look we either deal with the same flood of garbage Steam has or we let GOG curate the store and deal with them occasionally rejecting something good, usually if there isn't a major reason like their is something them or the dev won't budge on for the rejection they can be talked out of it.
Such a long thread over a game?

What happened to the right of the shop keeper? They have no right to reject things they don't want to sell but must take everything offered?

That would be saying Hatred is good :-P

Atticusmj: ...
I said it before, I'll say it again: If you want a carnage game with constant escalation of threat, play Saint's Row: The Third. Gameplay-wise, it's just superior in almost every respect to what Hatred has to offer. If you started skipping games when online started to be a thing, you have probably skipped SR as well, and you can go on a rampage and start killing civies just as well there as you can in Hatred - the only exception is that Saints Row also have an entire game besides that, and escalation itself is much better, with larger variety of baddies, events and your own weapons and attacks.

How so? I didn't give any specific game as a example and GOG has rejected in the past games that are considered good such as Avernum: Escape from the pit, Cat Lady, Xenonauts, Thomas was Alone, Humongous entertainment games, ect. I just didn't name any game specifically. So if someone sees Hatred as being part of that list or not that is completely on them and them alone.

Hello Folks,
Two slabs here and four more in the car.Extra large box of chips and we can get some
pizza's and more slabs later.
Let the game begin..
I oppose the ban of hatred for one simple reason.
It makes the appearance of Wet the sexy empire even less likely.

AND I WANT THIS GAME DO YOU HEAR ME GOG?

So I hate you all, every single one of you, who support the ban. You hurt me with your objections to the release. And what have I ever done to you?

It's called Freedom of Choice.
'The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it.'

Terry Pratchett
...and we're right back to the ideas of a "ban" and "censorship".

GREAT "NEWS" EVERONE, NOTHING WAS BANNED OR CENSORED.

A small polish development team made a game that was Postal 1 in a new coat of paint and a few extra bells and whistles, the game was submitted to Steam Greenlight.

The game was pulled from Steam Greenlight due to a email campaign by a bunch of bored people who claimed the game was made by nazi's and was racists but was put back by GabeN. This lead to many gaming sites and youtube personalities to talk about this game.

This began a long shit storm between the SJW crowd and the anti-SJW crowd so basically idiot vs idiot and parasitic click baiting sites like Polygon fueling the fires by working the both the SJW crowd and the anti-SJW crowd(do they have something they call themselves?) by saying the game is the worst thing ever, it's misogynistic male power fantasy where you can rape, murder and slaughter children to the devil for the lulz.

So a game that most wouldn't of payed much mind too now was front and center because of idiots making the game sound worse then it really is.

Game get's submitted to GOG, GOG rejects the game for unknown reasons and the anti-SJW's start pouring in and claiming censorship and other idiotic and silly things causing a shit storm for the past few weeks here.

So in short: the fuss is about nothing, it just because a bunch of idiots tried to get the game pulled from Steam greenlight and then parasites like Polygon tried and work the minor controversy over the game for click bait by working the two extremist sides like a old time wrestling promoter or politician, no one would of given a damn but they got both sides of the idiot brigade going and shit hit the fan.

So, I just read that you can't get the Steam version if you're located in Australia or Germany. Noooow, as fucked up as German regulations are, I kinda doubt that they could ban a game that isn't even out yet. The thought that some German court would ask the devs for an early Steam key, just so they can ban their game seems... unlikely. So yeah, smells like (more) manufactured controversy to me.

If you preordered the game from the developer's website, you would be able to play it 3 days earlier than its release date.

From the few reviews I read, it means that you would be fed up with the game even before it's out on Steam... That's a good idea for an achievement :)
