Primo_Victoria: No, it just seemed like you thought they would just not sell a game if they thought angry mothers would attack them.
avatar
toxicTom: Cost-benefit analysis. And of course "angry mothers" are also counting into this. The only way to sensibly run a business.
dude am still waiting

toxicTom: ...

Supremtin: dude I said am sorry okay chill no need to try so hard, we all know you desperately want to get back at me for what I said
Uh huh. Anyway, I'm going to enjoy my day off work. Have fun.

toxicTom: There was no Witcher 3 downgrade. They had to change the engine because it couldn't handle nightly lighting well
I made a couple comments to the same effect. If you've got machine enough to run Witcher3 at 3840x2160 with everything maxed, the difference between the game we got and the game shown in trailers is really quite small. Too small for me to notice when I'm actually playing it, say, instead of staring a single screen and trying to decide if I like how the shadows are done ^_^

Supremtin: toxic Tom here is the post again if you cant find it, now do what Ive written
You mean the part where adding a whole game to a demo and sacrificing a few pieces of eyecandy to accomplish it is "downgrading"?

Please answer the following:

( ) I'm dumb.
( ) I'm a troll.

Choose either one. To make is easier for you I will help you answer the following:

[x] I know nothing about software developement.

tinyE: What is a twin stick anyway?

I guess I missed the FPS meeting where they explained that.

adding a whole game? gosh youre so stupid its unbelievable, did you even watch the video I posted? you can see everything in the distance of the game had already been completed(and as such they don't have any basses of adding more to the game, heck the draw distance in that video was clearer, but I guess you cant see that typical funboy logic) in that video if you cant see that then I don't know what to say anymore

.... oh wow you really are completely clueless when it comes to software development
You know, it might help the prospects of Hatred if the game's proponents ever appeared capable of reasoning beyond a 6th Grade level.

I am not a software developer. I still know all tech demos are done on special hardware setups, not normal PC's, not optimized.

Witcher 2 had one stating it was real footage and nailed it, and furthermore XBOX360 was an afterthought, that was the major difference this time, it needed to nail the lowly consoles (this gen is not what I'd call worth it) and maybe a disclaimer could have helped. I just think, it was where that other ball of wax came from...

oh really, funboy you will believe every shit they tell you, I mean for fucks sake the draw distance of the game before release was way more revealing than when the game was realeased, then they freaking tell you that they had to cut content cause they added more content to the game world when clearly all they did was reduce the draw distance which btw should reveal less of what they added to the game, gosh

Supremtin: gog deciding not to host the game will just drive all who want to buy it to head over to steam or desura for it and I don't think that's gonna cause much loss to them financially, on the other hand what gog is doing is just re-directing their customers to steam and away from gog
avatar
Breja: I just wish all of you would go to steam or desura or whatever already. I'm all for redirecting all of you away. It's the best idea GOG had in the last year. Don't sell the game all the asshats want to play, have them throw a sissyfit and go away. Would be great, if only it worked.
Yeah because driving away customers so the only customers left are a bunch of elitist GOG fanboys and pro censorship freaks who think GOG should be no different than the Disney store is a really bright idea.

You must really be playing on a garbage setup, because if I go to the top of, say, the lighthouse by Novigrad, I can easily see Oxford and the baron's castle at Crow's Perch. How much more draw distance do you want?

JKHSawyer: Would you go away to? That'd be nice.
avatar
Breja: Why would I? I'm not the one going on and on about how GOG i terrible and I'll never buy anything from then etc. I'm still quite happy here, thank you very much. I'm just saying all the "GOG is teh hilter gimme my murder sim nao or I will never by anything from U and go 2 steam" people should stop talking about it, and just go.
You are a good loyal GOG fanboy, we know.
