Supremtin: if you still TOO much of a fanboy to see that am gona ignore all what youre saying about the forced gog galaxy(which is really optional) or whatever you said after that
avatar
Telika: Stop defending galaxy, you fanboy, why are you always protecting gog !?
cause I f*cking hate steam and really want it to have some competition, their monopoly over pc gaming scares me and
btw am not a gog funboy at least not to your level and the client really is optional

Supremtin: Fahrenheit is not an AO game but an M rated game
The censored version is M rated. GOG sells the uncensored one.

avatar
Supremtin: Also go look at the gameplay from gamespot the game doesn't have much technical issues am sure there are countless bad and buggy games here on gog too, seriously why cant you just accept that gog is just being hypocritical
I have seen a bunch of gameplay videos. I have also seen all the complaints about overblown system requirements, I have seen the weird AI issues and aiming issues, I have seen glaring design problems the game has, all of that on top of it not being particularily good. And yes, GOG does sell quite a few bad games - most of the belinging into the 'old game' category, and most of them being historically significant. Is Hatred significant in any way? No, not really. It's just a mediocre, broken game. Perhaps when more content gets added and devs fix it up, GOG will opt to carry it. Until them, I honestly can't blame them.

Supremtin: well youre disagreeing with me to defend gog so...
*sigh* Actually, someone can point out flaws in your argument to show you that your argument is incorrect as opposed to defend anyone or anything

In North America, Fahrenheit was released in an edited, M-rated version under the title Indigo Prophecy, which removed a number of sex scenes from the game. Quantic Dream CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière noted that "tens of thousands" of players chose to import the uncut European release instead.[31]

lol does the game involve killing mass number of innocents people or those it not seek to give you some moral backings to your killing so you can sleep better at night?

EDIT: am pretty sure gog has no problem with game sex scenes(I really have no problem with them myself), oh and btw sexual contents in games arnt as morally punishing as killing someone who is begging for their lives

amok: no no no, you don't get it. it is because it is both AO AND involves mass killing at the same time. Factors, see? It makes perfect sense.

Same reason why gOg reject Braid. it is because it has hand-drawn backgrounds AND time-manipulation. gOg sells games which has hand-drawn backgrounds, and games with time manipulation, but not games containing both! I smell a conspiracy here.
I'll just leave that here.
Ratings are bullshit.

Star Wars is rated PG. Find me a more violent movie. An entire fucking planet gets blown up, and a benign planet at that. It's not like they hit the planet "Psychotic Fucker". It was Alderaan!

Yeah, ratings always confused me. Take Star Trek VI.

-What is this scene of a violent political assassination doing here? You can't do that! You have bodies and blood floating around everywhere! It's like st valentine's day massacre in space! We'll have to give you an "R" rating.

-What if we made the blood violet?

-Oh, that would be ok then.

A study some years ago in comic book violence compared frame by frame violence, and found that one of the most violent comics is Donald Duck :)

This is true: You know why StarShip Troops has an 'R' rating? The shower scene. I am not even making this up.

go ahead and defend gog I really don't care what fanboys like you think anymore
Are you that stupid or naïve to not see that THE ONLY REASON WHY THIS GAME isnt here is because of its rating and how it makes you kill a bunch of innocent people screaming and begging for their lives?

Well you did fail to present a single factual argument backing up that claim. Go ahead. Show me where GOG said that's the reason why they refuse to sell the game. Or at least give me past instances where GOG refused to sell games in which you kill civilians or for the sole reason that they are adult only. I dare you, present here a single piece of evidence of what you are saying, beyond "It's true because I say so." I'm pretty sure we've actually given you tons already.

high rated
I have learned a few things from this thread:

1) People who call others 'sheeple' are the most easily deluded.

2) People who eat paint chips and pee themselves somehow have internet access.

3) If I make something controversial when it really isn't, I can get the aforementioned people to defend me and my creation. And pay me money.

4) The world is a scary place, but there are still great, awesome and funny people here on GOG.

5) I would have bought Hatred blindly if it weren't for the asshats. So thank you, asshats, for saving me some money.
