Yep. CONFIRMED. Gog refused this game because it's unimaginative and boring. Or the devs are assholes at the bar down the block. Or... any other possible explanation other than the one everyone is SURE is fact.

Another one who confirms my expectation that it is completely mediocre, gets boring fast and that this was probably the reason GOG.com didn't want to sell it.

Yeah same here. I was not appealed by the game to begin with, watching the WTF confirmed it wasn't a fun game for me. My interest really took a dive with 'kill 150 civilians'. Many people say that there are lots of games where you can do that, but the point is that making it the main objective is unimaginative and not engaging (When I play Saints row, I really take extra care to not kill civilians for instance, and I don't play GTA).
Now regarding the postal comparison, I remember having 'a blast' playing the postal demo when I was younger, yet this doesn't feel the same. Did I grow out of it, or is there a cartoonish vibe in postal that isn't here ?

I don't like Postal 2. In fact, I think it's a rubbish game. But I do have to admit that it worked on a certain level, and I think that's because it at least had a lot of self-awareness. As I said before, Hatred seems to lack any sort of self-awareness. It's just unironically emo. And to me, that makes it really unappealing.

I liked it but then I own the original 'Faces of Death' on DVD so I guess that's to be expected. :P

My dislike for Postal 2 has a little bit of fondness behind it. I hate it, but at the same time I'm kind of ok with it existing, because of how few fucks the developers give.

I just find Hatred to be unlikable and mildly disgusting. And surprisingly tame, all things considered.

I completely agree. From all I've seen and heard so far, this seems to be the biggest problem of the game.

Fuz: Biased source.
They already stated in the past that the game "shouldn't exist".

Anyway, anyone able to explain me why GOG sells Carmageddon?
It's historically important/one of the blues likes the game personally?

Good point, and makes one see how much the Hatred devs really do give a fuck and how they just come off as poseurs.

They want to be thought of otherwise, but they are corporatists and marketers. No doubt Ragnarblackmane could kick each of their asses with one hand tied behind his back. :)

You know, this brings up an interesting idea... given that Hatred is basically just Postal 1 with modern visuals, and managed to get this amount of press, I'll bet someone could just reskin Chiller or Carmageddon and watch the free press roll in.
